gay men are people just like the rest of us they just like other males. Just because they dont like women doesnt mean their hearts dont beat like the rest of ours, their lungs dont take air in the same, they dont release their waste the same, and their emotions are still there and im sure they dont feel good about themselves when everywhere they go people are criticizing them all the time. They arent hurting anybody? Let them be.

This article made me actually wonder about the integrity of our future president. The article states that the candidates of this year’s 2008 election have an opinion about social issues in this country that are very strong. However, this article made me aware that the future leaders do not express their opinions about these so called “touchy subjects”. After I watched another clip of the candidate’s debate I noticed this fact. As a sixteen year old enrolled in high school, I am now questioning the responsibility of the future president of the United States for years to come. I wondered why they couldn’t express their own opinions, and I realized that they are afraid of losing votes. Is this a quality that we want our president to withhold? Trying to be deceitful to try not to offend others is wrong and stupid. This is because no matter how a candidate answers a question on a social issue, someone will be upset or unhappy with the answer. However if they don’t answer, people get frustrated because they don’t know a lot about whom they are voting for. I believe that a president should be completely honest and confident in him or herself to say what they believe in openly.

Well, I just had a conversation about this with my brother last night and the biggest point that he made was that marriage was something sacred between a man and a woman. Apparently, a same-sex marriage is not sacred so should be banned. Is a marriage with cheating partners sacred? Is a marriage that has been marked with abuse sacred? If two people are committed to one another, how does that cheapen or make my marriage less sacred? The government is meant to protect people and their rights. You can tell your children and teach your children whatever you want them to believe but we should not be able to attack those who are different by witholding certain rights. We aren't banning cheating on a ballot although one could argue that it is immoral... as long as it is between a man and a woman. Let's just think about this one a little more...

A lot of people don't realize what will happen if PROP 8 does not pass. Our children will eventually be taught this in school and as a mother of a 6 year old, I have every right to protect my children & children's children from growing up & thinking that same sex marriage is moral. I have nothing against Lesbians/Gays & if Prop 8 does pass it does not take away any rights from Gays/Lesbians. It does, however, take away parental rights & religious freedom. God created Adam & Eve, NOT Adam & Steve. This is not a political issue, but more of a moral issue. I believe in the Bible & it clearly states that marriage is between a man & a woman, only.

idont understand why everybody thinks it is a big deal for gays to be gay. you dont choose to be gay or straight... i am a christian but i agree with freedom of speech and honestly your not giving people any right to love who they want to. so what if it is the same sex as them. one of my bestfriends family memeber is gay but i consider him to be just another person. but its whatever i think you should love who you want to gay or not.
