John McCain WAS an honorable man. If he had stayed that way, I might have voted for him. As a Democrat, I have voted 3 times for a Republican presidential candidate. Now, however,McCain has turned to the same tactics that our present president has used.

Unless he distances himself from W and denounces the 'son of swift boat' lies: ie The Obama Nation, I will do everything in my power to prevent him from becomong president.

Bill Meyer was right when he said it. Rick Shenkman is right in his "Just How Stuped Are We? Facing the Truth About the American Voter" WE ARE STUPID.

Or to be more gental in denial, dulled by trying to keep our home or whatever. The facts are there and the polls show we want more of the same.

WE ARE STUPID

I also feel this article was rather slanted.

As an independent voter, who has voted in every Presidential election, since legally of age, I have voted for both Dems and Republicans.

Over the years the lies, the use of video, tv, the web, have just intensified the smear campaigns.

This coming election, in my opinion is the worst so far. The end result, myself and many voters are NOT happy with either candidate.

One is a man, too advanced in age, and does not have the policies that I am agreeing with. The other is a charismatic younger man who makes us feel good but lacks much experience.

It really sums up the chaos that has befallen the USA that these two are the choices for our next President. They may be learning as Senators, but President, No.

I think it is quite clear that every McCain ad has been designed to suggest that Obama is not like "me" and "ordinary Americans." Whether trying to paint him as an elitist or a radical or eurotrash is clearly attempting to paint him as dare I say "foreign" or "alien." How about that. What should also be clear is that politics isnt what is said or done, it is what is perceived.

I imagine Kenneth Walsh was wearing his autographed Obama campaign button when he wrote this.

1. In the first paragraph Obama is "making policy statements about Iraq" while McCain is "admitting he doesn't know as much as he should about the economy". No bias there *roll*

2. According to Kenneth Walsh, McCain has serious problems...period. However, each of Obama's listed problems are specifically refuted by this Obama groupie.

3. Obama "notes" that Republicans want voters to believe he is some kind of alien creature, etc. There has been absolutely no such attack by Republicans and Obama was rightly criticized for this assertion by people that at least have some shred of credibility remaining. Not the case for this Obama groupie.

Kenneth Walsh, you may as well quit and go follow your idol around. This article proves you have no credibility commenting on this election.

Here is a perfect example of how the debate is shifted dishonestly to favor Obama.

The article states: "He (Obama) derides the GOP caricature, noting that the Republicans want voters to believe he is some kind of alien creature who has a "funny name" and doesn't look like any of the past presidents."

Obama did not "note" the Republicans want voters to believe these things. Obama ACCUSED the Republicans of wanting voters to believe these things though Republicans have attempted nothing of the sort. If anyone caricatured Obama, it was supporters of Hillary Clinton

Obama's accusations against Republicans are flat-out lies. This article repeats the lies as if they are truth. This is classic left-wing agitprop.

That the article buys into the Obama generated narrative is despicable. If any of you believe the accusations you are truly ignorant. You simply do not know what you are talking about.

I am concerned our American Values may be miss-understood. Race plays an important role in the fabric of the soul of this nation. Regardless of the elections outcome, the race-card is still in the deck.We must face the future understanding our real problems. Our investment in education is critical to addressing the race problem. There are few shared values that can share across the nation.America needs to try something new.Fear is not a value. It is a weakness. Only when America faces it fears, we move forward. If a person is afraid Mr. Obama will help Blacks; then who will. What if they needed help? Who will help you? All American need help. Has Mr. Bush helped anyone?

If Obama was in fact this Barry Soetoro that the ignorant ones on here contend, then how in the world did Obama end up being half black and half white?

Soetoro, his stepfather, was indonesian. duh!

And Obama lived there in the 1960s!!!!

Get a clue. Try to read something other then wingnut rumor sites. Like real information, people.

The hate and stupidity promoted by Fox and talk radio has turned my country into a xenophobic place filled with ignorance.

Obama's half sister is Mr. Soetoro's. She is half indonesian. and for those too dumb to find the information, Mr. Sorotero worked for an American corporation and was part of the 1960s culture of the up and coming middle managers in corporate America. Mr. solid middle class who played golf with his buddies and believed in the American dream.

Obama's grandfather fought in Patton's army in WWII.

Obama probably knows more about America and it's history then the ignorant so quick to question his patriotism and smear him with lies.

No wonder we keep falling backwards. Because so many are proud to be backwards and ignorant rather then trying to learn something and educate themselves with the truth.

Turn off Limbaugh for once and read a book or a real newspaper.
