Nice guy.Needs to be given a chance.Time to prove that our generation has something new to offer than the old rhetorics we've been used to in the past.

It amazes me how people are in awe of such a shallow individual (Obama) that seems more concerned about his appearance, his spouse's appearance, and his mannerisms with his skinny fingers than finding real issues and problems to discuss and explore in his speeches. He leaves me wondering why not vote for the out-of-touch John McCain.

This is the only guy that is going to stand up for our soldiers. I'm glad he stated he will visit the injured troops on his own time when the press is not around as he has done in the past. It shows a lot of respect on his part for our soldiers and their families. Only McBush will turn it into a bloody photo-op just like his twin Curious George.
Let Iraq solve their own problems as we obviously have far too many of our own. Our troops need to come home. If we were really concerned about terrorists we would have spent our war dollars on securing our borders and our ports. Obviously we have given them a free pass into this country and anything else they might want to carry with them. What a joke. Enjoying those Republican years of high gas prices, mounting public debt and the corporate elite raping and pillaging everyone's pocket. It happens every time without failure.

LET ALL OF VOTE 4 OBAMA 4 THE CHANGE.

Obama really made of mess of himself didn't he?
1.He denies the success of the surge
2. Even in retrospect he wouldn't have supported the surge
3. He falsely claims the walls are done in N. Ireland and everything is hunky dory there
4. He refuses to meet injured soldiers because he can't turn it into a photo-op for propaganda purposes
5. He gives a silly speech in Berlin about supposed world unity and how he's a citizen of the world. Really now has the world ever been united in the thousands of years we've been recording history?

Obamas' "Kodak Moments" from Berlin will provide the stock footage his handlers will deploy to dazzle this fall...ad nauseum. To be rated "IM" ,for immature audiences undoubtedly. Similar to the Bergman-esque' images of Reagan/Thatcher effigies aflame edited by the film school dropouts of that era. There is a lesson here of some value.Anyone who holds America in contempt was there- with bells on.What is to be gleaned from this is that our "friends" bought the coursage'.

It just goes to show you how desperate the world is for a new U.S. leader and how deeply this decision on our part affects every single nation in the world. McCain is too old, too angry, and too much of a loose cannon to put at the helm of this sinking ship. Although the media has placed these two candidates before us, I will vote for the person who will most readily take us out of this war we were lied into...and will think before he pushes the red button.
Bradof KS10:13AM July 27, 2008
The speech could have been a slight more well sincere because of the behavior of our present situation of finding no weapons of mass
destruction, and how our success in ridding the Iraqi people of a
man with a great dislike by his own people, could turn into one of history s most threatning time for our country.and its reputation around the world.Mr. Obama should take a more serious look at the present situation of how America has been so torn up by a goverment
gone mad.The American People distrust of its goverment is running
very thin.America is searching for a leader who will restore her
Great Name ONCE again.and bring a new age of innovation and restoration of our will and drive to lead the world in a different
direction from the present course we are heading. Its time for the
true leaders to stand firm own their pledges and desires to take affect. We are at a crucial time and at the same time we are at a
golding age where most of our most threatning fears could be no more.BARRACK POLISH up your thoughts perfect your words, reach from that of the old and wise stay true to your identity.

Really good article giving perspective of Europeans of different ages. Liked learning that people had come from far away to hear and see Obama. Very full, informative piece.
