While most of the analysis of VP candidates is based on demographic balance and similar issues, the real qualification for VP is who is best to step in and lead the nation quickly if something were to happen to the President. In that respect alone, no other Democrat has been able to match Hillary Clinton. Her energy, her ability to think quickly, her sense of responsibility were all on display during the campaign. I don't think there is any question that she would make the best Vice Presidential candidate, and more importantly, the best Vice President.
I sure hope the Obama campaign realizes this.

Hillary will never be chosen as VP because
she is smarter, more experenced and more
gutsy than Obama. He might not look so
good standing next to that for 4 years.

I would feel so much better about the election if Obama chose Hillary C for his VP. I know the strength and dedication to duty is there with her. She also has the experience and the vision to do what is needed to make our country stronger and more secure. After all, she won almost as many votes as he did, so his election would be assured. We do need change in the white house, so out with Bush and Cheney, and in with a black President, and a lady VP.!!

ROJO OF PA IS A SMART INTELLIGENT PERSON WHO STILL REMEMBERS THE BIG ACCOMPLISHMENT OF BILL CLINTON'S PRESIDENCY AND THAT MAKES ME WONDER WHY SOME VOTERS AND EVEN DNC WERE AFRAID IF HILLARY WAS TO BE ELECTED AS PRESIDENT ,THEY WERE WORRIED WHAT BILL CLINTON DO,NOW THEY SAY IF HILLARY WILL BE THE VP THEY WORRY ABOUT BILL ROAMING AROUND WH.. AMERICA SHOULD BE THANKFUL TO HAVE BILL CLINTON A RHODES SCHOLAR TO SOLVE THE PROBLEMS THAT BUSH PUT AMERICA IN SUCH A MESH.IF OBAMA WANTS TO WIN,HE SHOULD GET HILLARY AS HIS VP AS HILLARY HAS MORE EXPERIENCE THEN OBAMA. IF HILLARY IS NOT HIS VP, THEN OUR GROUP A BIG ONE WILL VOTE FOR McCAIN. OBAMA IS SO PRESUMPTOUS, HE THINKS AND ACT LIKE HE IS ALREADY THE PRESIDENT OF AMERICA OR EVENT THE WORLD.

She would have far more than one plus to bring to the Party - a cool but decisive head on her shoulders, a deep and far-reaching knowledge of government and world affairs, and a proven devotion to Love, Service and Duty to hers and our Country. He will prove himself a small and petty person if he doesn't choose her and her 18 million followers. They could be his insurance of a tremendous win for the Democrats. And she is a Democrat through and through, tried and true. I think he will rise above any doubts he may be harboring and choose her. In fact if he doesn't, I will switch parties and vote for John McCain who has served his country with Honor and Courage both in War and in Peacetime. Helen Whelan, Margate, Florida Retiree

Who wants a government in waiting?
No to Hillary. No way.

Yeah all he did was balance the budget for the first time in 45 years, create 22 million new jobs, and kept our country at peace as well as promote peace around the world. A Rhodes Scholar in the WH who got things done for the middle class, even with a Republican controlled Senate and congress. You want change? Petty things like a love affair that wasnt your or my bussiness shouldnt cloud your thinking. We lost our ONLY chance to get this country back on its feet. By getting Bill Clinton BACK in the WH. You"ll see, when you are forced to LOWER your standard of living like the rest of this foolish nation. Obama is weak

I think that Hillary showed a lot of courage and commitment to her marriage vowels by not divorcing Bill and she will bring those same attributes to the W.H.
