BRUSSELS (AP) — Anheuser-Busch InBev NV, the world's biggest brewer, says its third -quarter revenues rose by 9.1 percent, despite a slight decrease in the global volumes of sales.
The company said on Wednesday that volumes in its key U.S. market had "shown encouraging improvements" this year so far. It said that company share gains in the period were boost by Bud Light Platinum and Bud Light Lime Lime-A-Rita.
In China, beer volume grew by 2.2 percent, with AB InBev's key brands of Budweiser, Harbin and Sedrin shooting up by 9.2 percent in the quarter.
Ever since Leuven, Belgium-based InBev bought U.S.-based Anheuser-Busch in 2008, the company has been trying to get consumers to trade up to its premium brands in order to boost its profit margins.
