Egypt lawmakers, government disagree on IMF loan

March 21, 2012 RSS Feed Print

Aid packages from the EU, oil-rich Arab Gulf states and elsewhere are contingent on Egypt signing off on the IMF loan.

A newly launched grass roots campaign called "Drop Egypt's Debt" is lobbying for loans taken during Mubarak's era to be written off as "illegitimate debts."

Tell me the USA is considering given billions to Egypt which is a Muslin country?????

I assume this a money maker for the USA with loans repaid and interest? Otherwise why in the world would we do this. Egypt is not a good friend and will stab us in the back, especially is controlled by the brothehood. How stupid can we be. Even if it is a financial plus for us, this will come back to haunt us with deaths and more deaths and more Muslin control in the world.

do you want your daughters murdered if does not play by the male Muslin rule and wear a burka in public and be submissive to the male? Keep up the good work of supporting the brotherhood and this is what we will have. Take off your blinders and use some common sense...........which no politician has, I know. I am disgusted with our Politicians but not our citizens. We citizens are still hard working, honest and not self-serving, but are trambled on, nonetheless. Take those billions and built our economy, secure our borders, and help our poor, not the poor of Egypt.
