Move over Beyoncé, the top entertainer at Tuesday’s White House State Dinner with French President Francois Hollande is R&B singer Mary J. Blige.
Blige was selected for her “international appeal” a White House source told Whispers. Though she doesn’t have strong ties to the European country, she is popular there.
The Bronx native has, however, performed for the Obamas before. Blige was one of the musical guests at the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte in 2012. She'll be performing for Hollande and about 300 other expected guests.
