In a recent video series, comedian Jimmy Kimmel had celebrities read mean tweets about themselves. Well, now the same idea has been applied to members of Congress. Our friends at NowThis News got a handful of lawmakers to read some hilariously vicious tweets.

In the videos, the NowThis News team gets Sen. David Vitter, R-La., to call himself a "#loser." Rep. Michelle Lujan Grisham, D-N.M., reads a tweet where a constituent calls her a "Democrap." And Sen. Chris Murphy, D-Conn., comes up with a new acronym for LMAO -- "Legislators Make America Outstanding." (Good try, Murphy.)

Other Capitol Hill heavyweights who participated include Rep. Paul Ryan, R-Wis., Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., Sen. Claire McCaskill, D-Mo., and Rep.Jason Chaffetz, R-Utah.

"Paul Ryan has such pretty blue eyes, sometimes it's easy to forget he's satan incarnate," Ryan said, quoting a tweet from Twitter user RagBagUSA.
