Funny or Die's "Scandalous with Jennifer Hudson" pokes fun at the political thriller 'Scandal' while promoting the new federal health care law.

With a white trench coat and snappy dialogue, Jennifer Hudson does her best Olivia Pope impression in a new Funny or Die spoof of the show "Scandal."

But the scandal she wants to fix is the PR war regarding the Affordable Care Act, known by many as Obamacare, which reaches its next stage of implementation Oct. 1. The video is the latest in Funny of Die's efforts to rollout humorous videos defending the controversial law.

In the video, Hudson plays the Washington crisis manager, but most of the "scandals" she encounters she says are easily solved by the Affordable Care Act. The spoof comes just as Washington looks to be heading into a government shutdown as a result of the law.

Hudson was one of a number of Hollywood celebrities including Amy Poehler, Michael Cera and Kal Penn who attended a White House meeting in July to discuss the Funny or Die campaign to support the law. Jack Black and other comedians have also appeared in similar videos.

Groups on the right have produced viral videos criticizing the law as well. Earlier this month, Generation Opportunity released a "Creepy Uncle Sam" ad encouraging young people to opt out of the Affordable Care Act exchanges.
