The guessing game has begun for the A-list guest list of the Kennedy Center Honors this Sunday, which brings more celebrities to the nation's capital every year than perhaps any other event.

The honorees for their contributions to the performing arts this year include: blues legend Buddy Guy, Hollywood's antihero Dustin Hoffman, late night funnyman David Letterman, Russian ballerina Natalia Makarova, and the three rock and rollers that remain of Led Zeppelin. Each of these honorees is expected to come along with a number of bigwigs who will be there to fete their friends.

Whispers is hearing that Tina Fey, who won the Kennedy Center's humor prize in 2010, will be coming for Letterman. The CBS late-night star has had the female comedian and "30 Rock" actress on his show a number of times, including in January when she famously smashed up his car.

Robert De Niro, we hear, will be coming to celebrate with Hoffman. The two actors co-starred in "Wag The Dog," a 1997 black comedy about a Washington spin doctor, and a film for which Hoffman received his seventh Academy Award nomination. They also performed together in "Meet the Fockers," the 2004 sequel to "Meet The Parents."

The Kennedy Center, which keeps the guest list under wraps each year until the show, says it won't confirm any names.
