My thoughts are as they alway have been, there's not a honest Son of Bitch in the Senate, or the House.

Gee, I'm shocked ~ shocked ~ shocked that there is politics in Washington!!!

They are all a bunch of crooks. Even though, they will say; everything they did is legal.

Creeps!!! Looks like a rat ~ smells like a rat!!!

Curious if Lauren Fox doesn't actually understand that small government [spending] philosophy is quite consistent with hiring staff out of private donations to a campaign, Or if her confusion of wording is disingenuous.

Also curious about the implication that hiring your family out of NON public funds is in any way wrong, could it be that Lauren Fox was only showing lack of education about the Issues of nepotism in the article as written, or.....again..... curious if such implications and wording by her are meant hostile and deceitful.

Either way, might not such a writer look better to fiction writing or so.. rather than political discussion?

in any real traction when the authors -- in full sunshine -- failed to contact any of the members "exposed" for any explanation.

That's because they knew they would find many logical responses. And sorry, given the level of many of these congressional campaigns is in the multi-millions, I don't believe a few thousand or even few hundred thousand spend in campaign expenses is out of line.

This is a futile attempt by a liberal group with zero credability -- the real big spenders -- to deflect attention from the real issue here. The national debt is $15,591,061,350,356. Thank you Mr. President.

The point seems to be confused about When it's alright to hire family. It's NOT alright to hire family using public funds, and that's Why nepotism has a bad reputation.

Hiring your family is healthy and Normal when using your own money or the money of supporters as long as it's all out in the open.

The Principle is that it's not ok to favor relatives when it's public money, in those cases it's only ethical to offer out jobs on some sort of a fair and competative basis. So in many of the cases regarding some politicians in the story, nepotism Is bad.

In the case of Ron Paul's campaign staffing, the word 'nepostism' is only used to smear a man of the highest integrity who is doing absolutely nothing wrong at all.

"Even champions of smaller government, like Texas Rep. Ron Paul, pays six members of his family to serve as campaign staffers...

Rep. Ron Paul (R-TX) paid six different relatives a combined $304,599."

LOL! He paid his family members approx 50k each! That doesn't sound like a windfall. That sounds like a bargain...good job, Dr. Paul!

Vote for Ron Paul! Do you know why we are at war? The Project for the New American Century and the Foreign Policy Initiative are a think-tank which promotes: diplomatic, economic, and military engagement IN THE WORLD! Iraq was all lies, Iran is all lies, so is KONY! They have a war to sell you, are you buying it? I will NOT vote for anyone who supports war! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aepfsJfWxV0
