Hi Stacy Bridges of Va, nice post and all your points well made. My support for Dr. Ron Paul is simply genuine passion for having America returned to the citizens. Have studied so many politicians for so many decades and Ron Paul is one in a million, he always puts honor and honesty ahead of personal advantage. With the others [running for president] America will remain divided against itself and continue with a broken currency until the impoverishment of our people is even more heartbreaking. My own feelings about the abomination of the pharmaceutical industry, mirror your's. Big Pharma gets many in Congress elected and those politicians protect those companies with legislation, including keeping medical cannabis illegal - which makes it so around 20% of good honest Americans are considered criminal - and that is wrong. Any society that seeks to destroy and suppress it's children is on a path of empty promises.
One day our people will be proud to be American again, and those from other lands will wish again that they could also be. The Ron Paul movement will continue until that day. Already one State has embraced the libertarian politics of our founders. A Liberty Republican legislature in New Hampshire elected in 2010 has produced already budget surpluses and has civil liberties legislation in the pipeline. That legislature has just rejected a challange to gay marriage rights as well. Government does not Own the people. The Free State Project encourages the defenders of liberty and fiscal responsibility to move to New Hampshire and be active there, and that's something that this old Grandpa has in mind eventually. Live Free or Die.
Thanks for voting for Ron Paul..... growing numbers of us will continue to vote for liberty and justice in America. I'm retired now and have some time on my hands, so calling for a better world for our grandkids is worthwhile for me.

JOHN OF NY...I DIDN'T know that you were a DR.RON PAUL SUPPORTER, AND I AGREE WITH YOU JOHN...DR. PAUL NUMBERS ARE THE ONLY NUMBERS THAT ADD UP!
Now I'm NOT saying NO Candidate can ever hire family members to work on their Campaign or in their Cabinet...If your family members are QUALIFIED to fill those positions then HIRE THEM...
HOWEVER, paying your girlfriend $622,574, or your wife $512,293 or even paying your daughter $347,837 for Their services is CRIMINAL...
DON'T get me wrong if President Kennedy didn't hire his little brother to work on his campaign, WE THE PEOPLE would not have had ROBERT F. KENNEDY as the UNITED STATES ATTORNEY GENERAL...
I shudder to think of HISTORY WITHOUT BOBBY, Thank GOD JFK had enough sence to HIRE the BEST MAN for the JOB...HOWEVER, the family members on this list in this article couldn't hold BOBBY'S EMPTY BREIFCASE!

To msrowenaof of Sc, are you a contributor to the Ron Paul campaign? If so, then you've brought some considerations for any such donors to light. The only fraud, real or of any sort, would be in misrepresenting the use of funds to the donors who give the money. You make some very good points though, but please focus on the moral obligation the recipient of donations has about those donations.. which is solely to the contributors. Regarding any analysis of rate of compensation, the pay in the Ron Paul campaign seems to me in line with normal civil service rates of payment... or less without the "benefits" of civil service but only a cash payout.
Dr. Paul might be the only honest one running for president, but that doesn't stop the disingenuous [ie: Lauren Fox?] from their mischief. ~Ron Paul for clean government~

I'm actually on the fence on some of this. I'd agree that nonpublic funds do not connote nepotism. That said, I think someone running for office has a moral obligation to use the funds supporters donate in a responsible manner. Hiring a competent, qualified family member to do a job on the campaign (and this probably does not include people babysitting for their own kids, lol) for the same rate anyone else would have done it doesn't bother me. Hiring a family member (or a family member's company) at above fair value or hiring someone who really can't do the job so that others around him or her have to do it for them is another matter. It may not be illegal, but it is fraud of a sort to take contributions and use them irresponsibly and while deliberately benefiting family members. On the one hand, you could argue, hey, don't vote for them in that case, but this is so rampant, how often will it see the light of day in an election? As someone else said, though, the real problem here is a lack of investigative reporting. This story would be far more useful if someone had looked into the rate of compensation for the family members (or their companies) compared to pay for nonfamily in similary positions and also into the qualification for the various family members.

Stacy Bridges of Va, tried to read through your rant more and ok.. you might be talking about many of the same issues from a documentary [can be found online] called "The marketing of maddness". If so, you're on the right track.. but please be reassured that Ron Paul is in no way corrupt. The word 'nepotism' itself only means hiring one's family.. it's not Corrupt - even a little bit - unless public funds are used.

To Stacey Bridges of, you're shouting about a lot of things .. naturally - as you say - you are Not a teacher, or you wouldn't give Ms. Fox even a passing grade.. yellow journalism isn't well respected in educated circles. Your reference to me seems to have no context and makes no sense at all, so how would I answer such?
Obviously my point is that the only - or nearly only -Clean politician in Washington Is Dr. Ron Paul.
