To Bing of AL,

you observed "Why would I trust Pubs to fix the deficit? The last time they were in charge they spent, as Sen. McCain, said, like drunken sailors....which is an insult to sailors."

might we also observe that Ron Paul opposed the irrational spending with consistant opposition to it, and also that Dr. Paul fortold publically this situation we would be in by now.

time to make things right, to conduct ourselves with honor and with good will toward men [and women]. the Ron Paul movement is alive with patriots far and wide. 'livin it'.

"61 percent of those polled said they blame Obama for the economy's slow recovery while only 21 percent hold Congress responsible."

This quote is wrong. In question 35 of the poll they ask:

35. Do you think the economy is beginning to recover or not?

54% of all respondents said yes. 43% said no

Then in question 35a they ask:

35a. (If economy not recovering Q35) Who do you blame more for the economy not beginning to recover, President Obama or the Republicans in Congress?

That's where the 61% Obama/ 21% Congress comes in. The blame question was asked of those who did not feel economy was recovering. And since most who felt economy not recovering were GOP, you can see why most blamed Obama.

The 35a results is of those polled who felt economy not recovering, not of "those polled".

Makes a big difference.

People know that the rapidly growing debt to GDP ratio is simply not sustainable in any economic model available. Even the policies of fiscally moderate Republicans would slow it down a degree, but Ron Paul size cuts are wanted for any sense of stability in our economy and in our currency.

Here is a story for you. The American people have a beautiful canoe named "The Republic" and are giving a rich fella a ride in it. The American people find out that a giagantic waterfall is approaching and that the rich fella wants to speed up toward it because he can catch more fish that way and can jump out at the end with his big catch and get to shore. The rich fella is the 'tax and spend politician' and can be reassuring - by his very nature - to others ~~~~ but the American people "ain't dumb" :)
