Most Want Keystone Pipeline Built

It seems to me that it is not a "one or other" situation. e.g. enviornmentally safe vs. jobs. I think there was a similar situation with building a pipeline in Alaska, and a compromise was reached to build the pipeline while being enviornmentally friendly. The main question to me is why do we have to make this such a political football? Why can't we focus our efforts to finding a solution? People of power are so focused on an outcome based on their selfish adjendas that situations such as these become a problem -- a black/white situation. It is time that the general public do constructive research and begin objective thinking themselves.

If the media would tell the country the full story behind the XL Pipeline, including Boehner's financial stake in the tar sands (see http://politicalcorrection.org/factcheck/201201180004 )

and the atrocious record of Keystone I, a dozen leaks in its first year of operation, poll results would shift overnight - especially if done by unbiased independent polling company.

This is the Pubs fault for demanding a decision before all the facts are in. They haven't even decided on the route! Then you need Republican Governors to come on board and they are not all on board yet. This is not a done deal. After the evaluations are done I'm sure it will be approved.

I find it fascinating Pubs are so much for imminent domain. I recommend this pipeline be built through all Pub districts. Let's see how you like it being built in your backyard.

The Pubs tried to bully Obama, they lost, and now they're whining.

These are Rasmussen polls. Why even post them? From Nate Silver: "It would help, of course, if the polling organizations were more upfront about disclosing their methodology rather than burying the information in the fine print. Ipsos is not the only offender here. The company Rasmussen Reports, for instance, recently adopted a hybrid approach in which it uses an online panel to supplement results from its automated telephone polling, but I rarely see this mentioned when Rasmussen Reports polls are cited." Basically Rasmussen creates the desired results and Scott Rasmussen is a Republican pollster. He does not keep this a secret.

This is from January 15, so it's not out-of-date. Rasmussen used to only poll land lines too, also skewing results by eliminating cell phone users who (by all surveys lean much more progressive). Not sure if they're including cell phones or if so - what percentage.

If he would just approve the pipeline, we would have jobs, energy, and the environment. Building the pipeline isn't going to hurt the environment. If Obama is worried about the environment, stop jetting to so many vacations in separate planes from Michelle and wasting $ while creating oceans of CO2.
