Poll: Americans, 2-1, Fear Obama's Reelection

January 9, 2012 RSS Feed Print

When it comes to how Americans view President Obama going into the new year, there appears to be very little spirit of Auld Lang Syne. Instead, according to the new Washington Whispers poll, many voters aren't forgetting what they dislike about Obama and want him out of office.

In our New Year's poll, when asked what news event they fear most about 2012, Americans by a margin of two-to-one said Obama's reelection. Only 16 percent said they fear the Democrat won't win a second term, while 33 percent said they fear four more years. [Check out the top political events of 2011]

Next to Obama's reelection, 31 percent of Americans said they feared higher taxes, which may be proof that the president's focus on the payroll tax cut has hit paydirt.

The poll, however, held out some hope for Obama. Some 38 percent of younger Americans, 18-24, said their biggest fear was higher taxes. Just 28 percent of those same voters said they feared Obama winning in November. [See pictures of Obama behind the scenes.]

But in results backed up by other polls, older Americans and those earning $75,000 or more are especially worried about the president getting a second term, according to the poll done by Synovate eNation.

Nearly half of Americans 65 and older said Obama's reelection was their top fear, 39 percent of those making $75,000 or more agreed.

As we enter the presidential election year of 2012, what potential news event do you fear the most?

President Obama wins reelection 33%

Taxes will increase 31%

Iran will get a nuclear weapon 16%

Obama will lose reelection 16%

North Korea will attack South Korea 4%

This poll included many options to those surveyed, along with the fact people disappointing with literally anything speak up more often than those content or happy with the same thing or service.

Because of this, it's data are utterly useless. Anger is always louder than satisfaction, this poll indicates nothing and this article insults logical, rational Americans. You know, the ones of us too busy helping out economy and woes then complain about something unimportant to any important goal needing to be tackled now. If you have no goals and complain about Obama, you are the dead-weight in this economic recovery and instead of blaming yourself, you find it easier to blame someone almost entirely disconnected and unrelated to your day-to-day affairs. Bravo, way to spend your time.

Even a lot of my republican friend look at the options they're being offered and agree, even though they hate it, Barack will be reelected, so just learn to live with that fact now and maybe you can move on, have a life, and find happiness. Or just live in ignorance, up to you.

Wow. Just, wow.

Breaking Christian News (BCN)-[Obama is a Christian and supports prayer

President Obama Proclaims National Day of Prayer

... as a National Day of Prayer. I call upon the citizens of our Nation to pray, or otherwise give thanks, in accordance with their own faiths and consciences, for our many freedoms and blessings, and I invite all people of faith to join me in asking for God’s continued guidance, grace, and protection as we meet the challenges before us.

Today IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand this thirtieth day of April, in the year of our Lord two thousand ten, and of the Independence of the United States of America the two hundred and thirty-fourth.

Three years and three months ago everyone was clamoring for America to produce more oil so we could get out from under those bad people who were taking us for the ride of our lives. Well, nobody did anything about our need for cheaper oil and today we are still waiting. The know it all smarties said, "Oh No"! "It will take 10, 15 years before we can start to realize any savings on finding and producing our own oil", so we are still waiting. If we had started 3 years ago we would have been farther ahead but no, we grew complacent and dumb. Now we have a chance to have a pipeline installed and still it is "NO". I would rather die of ground pollution than die from some crazy's atomic bomb. I really do not want to die at all but, we need to do something about producing our own oil. The longer we wait and procrastinate the longer we will be paying $5.00 or more per gallon of gas. Time is passing us by day after day, month after month, year after year and we will still be sitting on our duffs doing nothing. Plus, I do not want to hear all the complaining that will be going on when that happens. Get on the ball people of America and do something, anything about our oncoming dilemma. Bombard the White House with your letters and phone calls or any other way you have of communicating. "LET YOUR VOICES BE HEARD". "DON'T BE STUPID" I LOVE THE SOUND OF "DRILL BABY DRILL"!
