This is Tower... Pig One, clear to take off on runway 20... Pig Two, clear to take off on runway 12...

"The party would completely implode. Beyond anything you can imagine. I just don't think we'd let it happen," said the senior aide.

The arrogance of this statement staggers the mind. Why even bother to vote if the RNC can rig the vote? This is the sort of thinking that has helped flush this country down the drain, too much power in too few hands.

Ron Paul for president! I am tired of Neoconservatives and their Project for the New American Century! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=egqqCYSfV2k Bring the troops home! Legalize the Constitution!

You said about Ron Paul that “…Though many experts see Paul winning the Iowa caucuses next week and possibly finishing second in the New Hampshire primary a week later, few see a way for him to eventually grab the nomination to run against President Obama.”

Ron Paul will be the best contender possible against President Obama. Santorum will be the worst one. Rick Santorum is the only candidate presently unemployed because he lost his Senate seat to Bob Casey Jr. here in Pennsylvania. Casey whipped Santorum’s butt by 59 percent to 41 percent (a whopping 18 percent!). It was the worst defeat ever for a Republican senator from Pennsylvania. If Santorum couldn’t beat Bob Casey, how could he be expected to beat Obama?

Ron Paul is the only candidate who will reduce the deficit by one trillion dollars in one year and balance the budget before he leaves office, at the same time that he abolishes the federal income tax. The Internal Revenue service is one of the government agencies he plans to abolish. He will also bring our troops home and end those stupid wars our government gets into. Our nation is in bad shape and we need drastic measures to bring back prosperity. World War II is over. The Korean War is over. Why do we have to have troops all over the world? All of the other candidates talk about aggressive measures against Iran and other nations. First we helped Iraq in its 10-year war against Iran. Then we went to war against Iraq because “Iraq was building weapons of mass destruction”. That turned out to be a lie! Now that we have left Iraq that nation is in disarray, and all the Iraqis are against us and against all Christians living in their country. Does our government want us to start World War III?

Newt Gingrich is a disgrace. He is a professional adulterer who married Callista Bisek, after living with her while Newt was still married to his second wife. He and Callista are not good Catholics in that they were married in a hotel instead of in a Catholic temple. Unless a Catholic couple marries by the Catholic Church they are not married at all. A marriage by a justice of the peace makes the marriage legal by state law only. If Newt became president he would help himself to the public through, like when he worked as a "Historian" for Freddie Mac and was paid one and a half million dollars of taxpayers' money. And what did Freddie Mac need a "Historian" for? I think Newt should return that money to the Treasury Department.

I agree. Ron Paul has NO chance of winning the White House. All he is doing is further fracturing the GOP. He is not a Republican. He is a Libertarian, clear and simple. So, I'm not sure why the RNC even allowed him to be on the GOP ticket.

I love how these neocon's like to smeer Ron Paul. Such little pricks who work for the establishment that have it in there intrest to keep him down. These cock suckers, who profit off of welfare/warfare need to be bitch slapped. Here's a warning to the establishment. You can print all the crap you want , but don't even think of whacking Ron Paul. You will not like the blowback.

joe of ME 2:11AM January 01, 2012

Many other Republican leaders believe that Paul's off-message positions on drugs and foreign aid will prompt GOP voters to reject him. One senior Capitol Hill aide even suggested that leaders would work to defeat Paul if he starts to do well after New Hampshire.

"The party would completely implode. Beyond anything you can imagine. I just don't think we'd let it happen," said the senior aide.

Blow it up baby it is about time!! That is the first time I have heard of any real fear being quoted from Washington that their ridiculous establishment is at threat. Ron Paul 2012!!!

You should be praying Ron Paul wins the nomination and the Presidency, but only if you favor the preservation of our Republic, the Constitution and our individual liberty.

I thought the "news" and the "free press" was here to report the news, not SHAPE it according to their agenda. I see less and less hard reporting and more and more "opinion" pieces. The press is a complete joke.

"I just don't think we'd let it happen". What arrogance.
