MoveOn Getting Desperate for Donations

December 22, 2011 RSS Feed Print

The Democratic activist and voter education group MoveOn.org, apparently starved of donations and in need of a quick $400,000, is stepping up its fundraising.

Just two days after it E-mailed supporters that it might have to shut down, the group's executive director dispatched another E-mail titled "Disappearing MoveOn?"

[MoveOn.org Says It's In Big Time Money Trouble.]

Justin Ruben pasted in a plea above the original E-mail, which Whispers reported on Tuesday.

He simply wrote:

"Hi — I wanted to make sure you saw this email in the midst of holiday craziness. We could really use your help!"

Let us not forget that Move on dot org was started after the Bill Clinton witchhunt by republican politicians who had behaved no differently than Mr. Clinton.

Newt Gingrich had to recuse himself from the witch hunt against Bill Clintoin because he was having an affair with an intern.

For Move on dot org to then actually go against Hillary Clinton when Move on's original objective was to protect democrats from republican witch hunts is the ultimate in hypocrisy. Hopefully Hillary Clinton supporters will remember that it was Move on that gave Obama the nomination over Hillary Clinton in 2008.

Wherein Paul Bedard takes a standard fundraising appeal and tries to invent a story. Is this Stupid? Lazy? Both?
