Chuck Todd: White House Doesn't Feel Run Well

November 30, 2011 RSS Feed Print

Chuck Todd, chief White House correspondent and political director for NBC News, visited George Washington University, his alma mater, this week to discuss 2012, but surprised the audience when he admitted he didn't actually graduate from "Gee-Dub." Other facts he revealed:

[See a collection of political cartoons on the economy.]

1. He feels some of the best candidates in the GOP didn't run this year, including former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour, and Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels.

2. Sets his alarm for 5:15 a.m. but usually wakes up earlier.

3. Isn't convinced the White House is run flawlessly. "The West Wing doesn't feel very well run," he says. "When you are dealing with 9 percent unemployment would any West Wing be quote, unquote run well?"

4. Tweets 10 to 25 times a day and uses Twitter both as a wire service and for news ideas he cannot get on television.

5. Defends MSNBC's left-leaning programs from 5 p.m. on, calling the time slot the "op-ed page."

6. Most wanted interview: Fidel Castro, but admits, "it's always Andrea's first."

7. Happy with his job. But if he could do anyone else's for a day, he'd do what Jon Stewart does, but without being a "jerk" about it. [Check out our editorial cartoons on President Obama.]

8. Was once reprimanded by the secretary of Health and Human Services during a press conference at the White House for sneezing into his hand instead of his elbow.

9. Got the phone call alerting him of Osama bin Laden's death while at home, watching 60 minutes, and halfway through a beer.

10. While at George Washington University, Todd recalls his best day was when he played a French horn recital with a community symphony as his accompaniment.

This nations media is probably one of the most disfunctional outlets of any first world nation. They cant even report the news right yet they are constantly trying to tell us how the White House is messing up? This nations media did a piss poor job over the previous decade, they did not report on the nations economy declining which is why it was such a shock to most americans when the financial system collapsed. They helped sell this country the Iraq war and so on, they are fraudulent. They sell narratives and not news. This national media is trying to make up for their own incompetence and have no credibility because all they do is parrot what their puppet masters tell them to.

Anyone with any ounce of intellect can look up independent analysis and see where this country was when Obama came into office vs the growth since he's been in office. Unemployment reached over 10% due to that collapse, we are at least still floating and going in the right direction. This countries recovery would happen faster if people would stop playing political games and do whats right for the country. You notice how Chuck Todd doesn't mention that we have an entire branch of government not doing its job and governers on the ground laying off public workers to off set unemployment. This administration hasn't had no where near as many scandals or screw ups as the previous one or even Clintons administration, and yet both got second terms.

Yes Chuck, we have caught on to the medias BS and if Americans are not competent enough to better themselves and continue to grow out of this then this country is no longer fit to lead, period.

Did he also tell them that his show is ranked #30 out of 30 of the cable news shows. Did he mention why he spent 9 days with President Obama and did not file one report about the Asian trip...but instead tweeted junk about Newt and sports all day long ?

Did he say why when he got back from Asia he was to exhausted to go back to his show and took days off to re-coup ?

We call him " UpChuck Todd in this house.
