Obama Turkey 'Pardon' Not Good Enough For PETA

I wholeheartedly agree with PETA's position. Word are important and how we use them means something. Case in point: Why does the "N" word hold so much ugliness and anger? Using the word "terrorist" to describe peaceful advocates is cowardly, foolish and flat-out wrong. That, indeed, is a word that should be used judiciously , not bantered about as some commenters have done here.

PETA makes a good point. Turkeys are only 5 to 6 months old when they are slaughtered--how much trouble could these babies have gotten into?

PETA is right on. Turkeys are innocent. People who eat these gentle and intelligent birds are the guilty ones in need of "pardon!"

I think this is great, go PETA!

Did any of you boneheads watch the video on PETA's website? Check this out:

I will not eat turkeys ever again after seeing that horror show.

PETA. Proof that some people have wayyyy too much time on their hands

As a symbolic gesture against PETA this year we are having Turducken. It is duck filled with stuffing cooked inside the turkey... as well as beef, bison, and venison burgers with pork sausage on the side.

MMMMMmmm

Warning: Animal fats clog the arteries to the brain as evidenced by the ignorant comments of the first posters. Not sure what impedes ethical and empathy considerations though. Could be that some people are just born that way or perhaps they are employed by industries that exploit workers, animals, the environment, etc.

PETA be advised due to your letter the POTUS will no longer use the term pardon to these wonderous creatures! Hence forth they will be slaughtered and served on White House china plates for the following days celebration of Thanksgiving!
