What, US NEWS doesn't run the actual story, only the pre-emptive spin from the Koch Bros almost word for word. Are you guys a news organization or what?

Since when does USNWR devote a whole article to doing the Kochs' PR for them?

I read the Washing Examiner and Daily Caller pieces on this that were obviously just lifted from the Koch's agency press release.

At least you guys re-wrote it.

Money in politics is just plain wrong. Unless in comes from unions.

Or at least this is the message being promoted by most in the media.

Unfortunately this is about more than politics. Overseas offices were shut down, many former Koch employees are now "unemoployable". These Eupoean citizens may have ruined their careers for being moral and ethical beings with valid concerns of following international law specific to sharing sensitive knowledge with countries posing risk to world peace. This quite unethical nightmare put the national security of the USA at risk, and somebody made money off it.

The Kochs have been running a preemptive game for some time now (http://www.tucsonsentinel.com/opinion/report/033111_kochs_nervous/the-koch-brothers-are-getting-nervous/).

This is their attempt to preemptively float the notion that their political activities and environmental abuses are separate and distinct. However the latter is directly in support of the former. They seek a weaker regulatory system so that they are free to extract additional profits from polluting practices.

Poor babies. Someone might shed some light on the Kochs, and some may even make false claims as to their activities. What a shame. Oh well, as the authors of the book on hit jobs, they should be well versed in how to handle it.
