To me, the "King" was kind of creepy in the commercials. There was one commercial where a person was in a bed - the person turned to the side and The Burger King was standing there. I remember being physically ill feeling - the mental picture that came in to my mind at the time I don't care to think of.

They can do far better in finding a different "mascot."

@Kevin... Since those ads were not sexually suggestive in anyway, it leads me to think that anyone who imagines the BK character being a sex offender probably has some serious issues of their own to work out.

Those commercials were hilarious! The King is considered a meme among certain circles. Does Burger King really think they can do better than a mascot people post on message boards all the time?

I boycotted BK for several years because of the creepy, stalker-pervert qualities of the King mascot. After he retired, I went to the BK about a block from my work to have my first whopper in years. It was good, but I was annoyed that the bathrooms were locked and I had to ask for a key.

Now, I don't know much about security and so forth, but maybe if BK hadn't used a sex offender as a mascot they wouldn't need to lock their bathrooms. Just a thought.

If you don't like the King, you're a Communist. There. I said it. Herman Cain is a Communist.

the Burger King was a creepy icon that brought no love to the company; unlike other icons like the Pilsbury doughboy or the Giant for Green Giant canned foods or Ronald Mcdonald for Mcdonalds - Glad to see it gone for good like the noid for Domino's Pizza!
