Scientists Slam Link Between Hurricanes and Global Warming

OMG, OMG, OMG!!! Funded to the tune of several hundred thousand dollars!!!

Do you have any concept how many hundreds of billions of dollars have been spent on global warming? That isn't even enough to make Al Gore breath heavily, and that energy sucking, CO2 producing behemoth probably almost strokes out getting out of bed in the AM. Most of the big name pro-warming scientists probably make that (or more) for a single speaking engagement.

Several hundred thousand dollars, LOL. On the scale of money getting thrown around by the pro-global warming industry that rates as pocket lint.

The scientists who produced this crock are funded by Koch Industries, Exxon Mobil, and the Western Fuels Association to the tune of several hundred thousand dollars. Nowhere in Bedard's article is this mentioned.

Oh, and lets not forget the latest from NASA and Penn State...Space Aliens are going to destroy the earth because of global warming. They'll see us as a threat to the rest of the universe.

Ok, when they're reduced to busting out the "Space Aliens will destroy the earth" fear card, you know they're getting desperate, and the Fat Lady is warming up off-stage.

"All the REAL science says that Global Warming is real"

- Which science would that be? I see alot of media hype, hysteria, and fear mongering, not much science unless it's referred to real fast and in-passing. Because Al Gore says it's so? When someone is trying to sell me something on TV vs. showing me concrete evidence...call me a sceptic.

- I see unproven and unfounded studies, that use other unproven and unfounded studies as primary source documents. You can try to follow the science, unfortunately it all seems to move in a big incestuous circle of he said, he said, he said.

- We've been told "the debate is settled"...when was the debate? Did I blink and miss it?

- I've seen Al Gore and other big guns of global warming asked to bring their evidence and prove it...they refuse.

-We get a lot of "computer modeling"...I'm a programmer, I can make a computer model do whatever I want it to do.

- We're told "deniers" are evil, should be shot, imprisoned, demonized, shunned, ect. Isn't "critical thinking" a cornerstone of the scientific method? Scientists attacking other scientists for being "skeptics"? Hmmmm.

- Follow the money. Money involved in being a "skeptic"? Nada. Money involved in being a global warming promoter? Wow, huge bucks! Global warming is biiiiiiiiiiig business. Tells me everything I need to know, right there.

Norm forgot a few other facts.

A recent NASA study proved over the course of 10 years no increase or decrease in the earth's heat entrapment or release.

C02, not to be mistaken with spent argon, is a heavier than other air elements and sinks to the ground over time.

The type14 isotope associated with C02 produced by industry is no different than C02 produced by volcanoes, forest fires, and every other natural burning event. Sorry, no alchemy involved.

The ice on ice the show ice road truckers is actually real when the traverse frozen ocean water as much agw believers would like to believe its fake like they believe the moon landing is fake.

And don't forget, polar bears can swim.

This moronic propaanda piece is an absolute disgrace.

Shame on you.

Dear Conservative Scientist and Marty of CT:

Can you offer your thoughts on the aerosol report out of CERN last week?

Let’s take a look at some indisputable facts and see if any of them line up with the GW pushers:

1850′s temp were about 0.6 degrees (C) cooler then today.

1850 was a known low temp in the mini ice age.

CO2 is a greenhouse gas

Man produces about 7% of the total CO2 made annually.

CO2 has always followed temperature, never led it. (The planet warms, CO2 rises afterward) The planet cools, CO2 goes down (after)

Man could not live without some greenhouse effect.

The warmest temp in recorded history (roughly 150 years) is 1998 and we have seen cooling since then. Second warmest year was 1938.

The oceans, according to NASA, have cooled in the past few years by 0.3 degrees

The current warming started 10,200 years ago. The total warming has been about 11 degrees C the past 10,200 years.

We really don’t know what is going on, but we do know we have seen this exact scene played out at least four times in the past 650,000 years. Vostok shows that this cycle is the coolest of the five. Japan’s science Institute calls the theory of man induced warming virtually impossible.

Oh and don’t let that hockey stick hit you on the way out.

This article is classic of the type of distortion used in propaganda campaigns to smear the truth and cast doubt where there should be none. All the REAL science says that Global Warming is real, it will cause massive damage to our way of life, and it is mostly caused by humans dumping the billions of tons of CO2 into the air that starts out as a product to sell from the people who fund "hit jot" websites like this.

Global warming is "good for us"? You people are a disgrace to the human race. Al Gore was right about most of the Global Warming issues and I don't like Al Gore. By politicizing the issue of Global Warming, he has turned the right into ardent anti Al Gore-ites into enemies of truth and reason. What a shame. We all live on the same planet and we have the tech to make it a better place with a lot less coal and oil being burned.

Our failing power grid should be supplemented with nuclear power to a large degree to power the newest wave of plug-in hybrids and electric cars. The infrastructure should be built to allow cars who burn compressed natural gas to be refueled easily (This one step would end the need to import foreign oil).

I am a conservative but it saddens me that mainstream conservatives are buying into this anti-science, anti-fact garbage. It turns independents and reasonable people away... but it puts money in the pockets of the coal and oil industry.

The Heartland Institute is a right wing propaganda operation.

From Wiki: In the 1990s, the group worked with the tobacco company Philip Morris to question the science linking secondhand smoke to health risks, and to lobby against government public health reforms
