Everybody needs a vacation. Just ask President Obama. But when political operatives in the midst of a battle royale of spending and jobs take a break, they sometimes leave a hint behind that just because they've gone fishing, they haven't given up the fight.

Paul Lindsey, spokesman for the National Republican Congressional Committee is a prime example. An E-mail to him kicked back with the following out of the office note:

I will be out of the office with limited access to email...

If you need immediate assistance, please contact NRCC Communications at (202) 479-7070.

If you want to know where the jobs are, contact the White House switchboard at (202) 456-1414 and ask President Obama.

The GOP Congress has not done a single thing to create jobs.

The Speaker of the House has accomplished almost nothing to show, but still he has not brought up a single bill to create jobs.

Seems like the only thing the GOP House has done is to promote job killing budget cuts and wasteful corporate welfare that creates jobs in China but not in the US.
