I think all this 'Why is he taking a vacation?' stuff is ginned up by the media," he said. "I don't think any American will fault him for getting away, especially if he comes back with some fresh ideas on how to create jobs."

I can not evev get a job. retired military benifits are becoming a joke, and we spend 3.7 million dollars last year, on retired presidents who only spent 4 to 8 years in office. i read in one news report the tax payers spent 11 million dollars on his family vacations the last 4 years. i have not been on a vaction in 6 years. good job obama. my son has a 4 year degree and can not get a job to pay back the student loan. now obama is spending more money while the rest suffer.

I don't think children should be held prisoner when a family can afford to gift them with a vacation just because other families cannot. Taxes pay for their security no matter where they are.

This is not the time for the president to be taking vacations on tax payers money. There is NO justification that can condone this. He is a millionaire and can more then afford to pay for all that is involved when he takes a vacation.

Our Country is going down the tubes and Mr. Obama seems to be doing all he can to take us further down.

Hind sight is a beautiful thing. 'I think Americans will forgive him if he comes back with fresh ideas to create jobs.." Well HE DIDN'T. Not after this trip and not after his 4M plus vaca in hawaii (Michelle flies separately for 100K). No new jobs AND HIGHER GAS PRICES! Looks like America won't be forgiving him.

A journalist in England pointed out the farce of the Obamas when they went to England. Oh, first they went to Ireland on taxpayer expense so the Obamas could meet his long lost kin. Then, to England. Lets see, WH chef and his staff, marine one, scores of secret service, press corp, several armored vehicles for him to ride around like a King. The journalist said his entourage was greater than Queen Elizabeth's. But, we must not forget we have a King in the WH. Was anyone invited to his coronation? I would have enjoyed the food as most americans are eating hamburger meat if they are lucky. The Obamas eat only the finest: lobster, steak, chef cuisine. Oh well, we are just the common folk and they believe we are beneath them. What a farce these people are.

Is it true that Bo, the first dog, was not on President Obama's flight to the vacation, but was sent on a separate flight with the dog's handler only? And is it true that Bo's handler is paid $102,000 annually? Thank you in advance for your anticipated answer.

Sincerely, Barbro Morris

Bottom line: every penny of Taxes, in or out, goes through due process of House of Reps. Every penny of Taxes out goes through due process of Senate.

Accusing the right THIEF is very important in restoring Our US Const Governing.

Oath Breakers are doing their very best to rob our "more perfect" Positions of "We" the owners of The Grant to Govern.

No Public nor Private shall interfere with me (Right to Govern self) so long as I do not steal, rape, nor murder. Any accusation must go through due process where the alleged crime occurred. Ensured Protection against accusation of "common guilt".

When you are talking Public Money-The Buck is cemented on Congress' desk & they are only occupants who must obey the same laws we have agreed to.

Another vacation! Heck he hasn't done anything since his last vacation. I don't begrudge anybody a little time off, but this is what his 9th vacation since the start of the year. Real working people don't get that many vacaions. Heck their lucky if they get one week off a year. What about the kids and school. Shouldn't they be attending school? Oh I forgot their now Senior Staff they don't have to go to school they got jobs.

those of you who are touting that obama is paying for his own vacation, and that we would have to pay the salaries of the secret service anyway, are missing the point. the article is titled, "obama's vineyard vacation will cost taxpayer's millions"! not because of the salaries, but because we have to pay to get them up there. we have to pay for their hotels, most likely their food, all of their EXPENSES! and the fact that he is staying at such a lavish place, makes the expense on us even more. you compare obama and his vacations to president bush going home, to his own ranch. yes, we paid for the expenses of the secret service then too, but come on... are you really comparing texas with martha's vineyard? and please, let's not begrudge a president going home, by calling those vacations and then comparing them to obama going to hawaii, martha's vineyard more than once, chicago, the west, like yellowstone park+ (all though that was a working vacation... yeah, right, and the many other non- going home vacations he has taken. everyone says bush and reagan spent more days on vacation than obama has, but instead of how many vacation days they took, let's add up the $ amount of those vacations and see who spent more. guaranteed the obama's win! there is nothing wrong with a president going home, including the obama's if they want. but let's face it, when you hear that michelle obama has spent nearly $10 million of government money on her many vacations it's enough to make you sick. one last point. we were not in an economic crisis when bush and reagan were going on their vacations. had they been going on lavish vacations in this economy if would have been just as wrong for them as it is for the obama's.
