Poll: Spending, Deficits Are Biggest Threat to Freedom

Gun control last on issues Americans worry about.

Out of control spending and rising federal deficits are the biggest threat to freedom Americans see as they ready for Independence Day, according to the latest Washington Whispers poll. Down at the bottom: overregulation and gun control.

The poll jives with the rising concern in the nation that Washington isn't attacking federal spending with enough gusto and comes at a time when Democrats and Republicans remain divided on how to cut the deficit.
