...that Americans value sports and beauty contests, for better or worse, more than they do life experience.

So sarah Barracuda, who won a school hoops title on a broken leg and actually challenged Barr-boy to a one-on-one, and features on the cover of runners world---winner!

And Of Course there is Sarah the Beauty Queen contestant whose wholesome figure from 30 years ago is STILL an on-line sensation. So Sarah winner!

Then, of course, there's Todd.

Look, both these women are WOW's (Women of Worth, as delineated and desired by no less than King Solomon) Either would make a grand POTUS and together might even heal the broken American spirit double quick.

So while my head says Bachmann my heart, and my vote, will still be Sarah's.

The Paul Revere version everyone thinks they know is wrong because it relies on Longfellow who was the 19th century version of a spin doctor..Paul Revere's publicist. Sarah is wrong too because she tried to take several new facts she had just learned and tried to synthesize a new 2nd amendment theory to conform with her personal gun rights beliefs and wound up with a muddled statement filled with half truths.

Palin vs Bachmann:

Sarah is the girl who got straight "A's" because she learned what was needed to pass a test in school and always did her best.

Michele is the girl who got straight "A's" because of her genuine love for learning and the who, what, where and why of everything.

Both are excellent role models for our daughters.

Barrack Obama went to the Ivy League schools, brought in the academics from these same schools and the result is the economy is in the tank, unemployment rate is 9.1% and the debt is 14 trillion. So let me get this straight. You have to go to the Ivy Leagues to learn how to do that? Will I am impressed.

I'll take Sarah Palin's common sense approach any day.

Glad to know you have the exact number down. I'm also glad to know you think it matters. Except, I'm not sure it does. I have no idea how old the earth is, but I do think that God, the Uncaused Cause, created it.

PALIN WAS RIGHT ABOUT PAUL REVERE!!! LOOK IT UP! Boston historians confirmed she was absolutely right, not only did Revere instruct the minutemen to ring the church bells and fire off their weapons to scare off the Brits, he also verbally warned the British when he was later captured!

An array of idiots- first question to ask a politician-

how old is the earth, if the response is a 4 or 5 digit number

that person is Far too stupid to be an elected official.

Period end of discussion.

This isn't an either-or situation, Bachmann or Palin.

Romney, Bachman, or Palin -- doesn't matter. All three are 2008 branches off of dead-wood McCain.

Paul is the only one that offers a substantial break for the better from the six-of-one republicans (which include Romney, Bachman, and Palin) and half-dozen-of-other democrats.

And he has an M.D. degree, and is an Air Force vet.

That Bachman was a federal tax court attorney, well, that just plain creeps me out.

The first congresswoman from Minnesota was Coya Knutson who served in the 50's. She represented the 9th congressional district until 1958 when she lost to Odin Langen..

Sarah Palin has been in executive level politics for many years.

In Alaska, Sarah’s top priorities included fiscal restraint, limiting the size of government, resource development, education, equitable oil valuation as well as transportation and infrastructure development. Sarah Palin fought for ethics reform and transparency in government.

Sarah Palin has a long record of achievement and experience in public office.Prior her election as Governor, Palin served two terms on the Wasilla City Council and two terms as the mayor of Wasilla. During her tenure, she reduced property tax levels while increasing services and made Wasilla a business-friendly environment, drawing in new industry.

Under her leadership as Governor, Alaska invested $5 billion in state savings, overhauled education funding and protected Alaska’s natural resources. She created Alaska’s Petroleum Systems Integrity Office to provide oversight and maintenance of oil and gas equipment, facilities and infrastructure and the Climate Change Subcabinet to prepare a climate change strategy for Alaska.

During Governor Palin’s first year in office, three of her administrations major proposed pieces of legislation passed—an overhaul of the state’s ethics laws, a competitive process to construct a natural gas pipeline and a restructuring of Alaska’s oil valuation formula.

Governor Palin’s “business experience” comes with the negotiations and dealings she has had with one of the most powerful industries in the world: the energy industry. This includes the negotiations on what will be the largest private infrastructure project in North American history. Governor Palin has successfully negotiated new tax structures, lease deals and other issues that arise in the Alaska energy industry.

At the end of the day, Governor Palin negotiated billion dollar deals with one of the toughest industries in the world.

Sarah Palin is past chair of the Interstate Oil and Gas Compact Commission, a multistate government agency that promotes the conservation and efficient recovery of domestic oil and natural gas resources while protecting health, safety and the environment.

She also served as chair of the National Governors Association (NGA) Natural Resources Committee, which was charged with pursuing legislation to ensure state needs are considered as federal policy is formulated in the areas of agriculture, energy, environmental protection and natural resource management.

It’s important to acknowledge the role Palin has played over the past two years. She rallied the opposition to President Barack Obama during a time when opposition seemed impossible, when even conservatives wondered if Obama’s election marked “the end of a conservative era” and the beginning of a “revived liberalism.”

For the past two years Sarah Palin has worked tirelessly to fight Obama's policies and elect conservatives; Sarah Palin was #1 in the fight while others were sitting on the fence.

As governor, Palin demonstrated many of the qualities we expect in our best leaders. She set aside private concerns for the greater good.

She succeeded to a remarkable extent in settling, at least for a time, what had seemed insoluble problems, in the process putting Alaska on a trajectory to financial well-being.

While other states reel under staggering deficits, budget cuts, and protests, Alaska has built up a $12 billion surplus, most of it attributable to Palin’s tax. Galvin estimates that it has raised $8 billion more than Murkowski’s tax would have. But given the corruption that plagued the PPT, a better benchmark might be the tax it supplanted—the one put on the books after the Exxon Valdez spill. By that measure, Palin’s major achievement has probably meant the difference between a $12 billion surplus and a deficit…

On the big issues she left the state in better shape than most people, herself included, seem to realize or want to credit her for.

Palin’s achievement was to pull Alaska out of a dire, corrupt, enduring systemic crisis and return it to fiscal health and prosperity when many people believed that such a thing was impossible

Bachmann has two years in the House. She has never held an executive office and her service in the House has produced no legislation.
