Poll: Hitler Should've Got The Osama Treatment

America loves it when the military grabs bag guys. Just recall the euphoria when former Iraqi President Saddam Hussein was pulled from his spider hole or when Osama bin Laden was silenced by the Navy SEALs.

The problem: It doesn't always happen. Imagine how history would have changed had U.S. forces grabbed Adolf Hitler or, in modern times, Libyan leader Muammar Qadhafi.

According to the latest Whispers poll, conducted by Synovate eNation, most would have liked that to happen.

The nation often unites in euphoria after grabbing enemy leaders like Osama bin Laden and Saddam Hussein. Which of these past or current leaders should the U.S. have made its top target to seize?

Germany's Adolf Hitler 49%

Libya's Muammar Qadhafi 23%

North Korea's Kim Jong Il 15%

Cuba's Fidel Castro 8%

North Vietnam's Ho Chi Minh 5%

Source: The Synovate eNation Internet poll was conducted May 6-10 among 1,000 nationally representative households by global market research firm Synovate.

War criminals must stand before the world as criminals. They should offer their defense publicly, no matter how absurd. Many times governments WANT to assassinate their enemies, because they fear their secrets being outed. You can feel good about Bin Laden being dead if you want, but high officials had claimed Osama had died years ago. We're being manipulated for political gain, and I don't appreciate it!!

Ms. Anita Dunn said the "two people I turn to most" were Mother Teresa and Mao Tse-Tung.

"The death of ten to twenty million people is nothing to be afraid of." -Mao Tse-tung

"Human rights are not a privilege conferred by government. They are every human being's entitlement by virtue of his humanity. The right to life does not depend ... on the pleasure of anyone else." -Mother Teresa

More progressive, neo-con, neo-liberal propaganda. Hitler ordered a lot of people to their graves, but he was no Lenin, Stalin or Mao. Why is it that the politically-correct set never accuses Progressive icons such as these, unless it be that Amerikan communism is the goal? Side-note on newspeak-propaganda. George the Younger (vis a vis George the Bastard and Prescott the Passchendale Profiteer). W said that CIA-operative Saddam was worse than Hitler? Reality, people, reality.
