Okay Bedard, did you make this up to create controversy? You need to make a statement, otherwise, no one will trust your information in the future. I know I won't. In fact, if you don't make a statement proving your article, I won't even read US News anymore, and it will be fairly clear that you are a political hack. Either Priebus said it or he didn't, and if you don't have proof, you'd better be apologizing.

US News and World Report is owned by Gannett Inc., which consists of a higherarch of extreme leftists. This Paul Bedard guy in following their directives like a good little serf and doesn't care if he's discredited because he'll still keep his job and most likely win a pulitizer in the near future. Many of Gannett have been and continue to be on the board. What a sick bunch of Judas'.

This is why people don't trust the old media. You have no proof of this comment being made and you didn't even bother to check it out. Priebus has tweeted that your story isn't true. What are you going to do now? Create phoney documents or try the old media's "some say" routine?

Chalotte of CA 6:14PM April 15, 2011

Will this be retracted since Priebus has said it's a fabrication? "In an interview." What interview? When? Where is the transcript?

To Jerry and the obviously brave "John Doe", too scared to list his real name: None of your empty, political rhetoric is going to work here. You guys know that Obama has done NOTHING except run up debt. His stated goal is to bring America down a notch, making us moe acceptable to the world. Perhaps he forgot that we are the most benevolent nation IN THE WORLD. He and his political cronies like Jeff Emelt (GE, don't pay taxes) have parties, take vacations, play golf, and let's not forget this one: hold a (rare) press conference and then HAND IT OVER TO BILL CLINTON AND LEAVE! You dems have to admit this guy is a loser, and if you think last November was bad, just wait until 2012.

And try as though you might to make us look ignorant by using the term "birther"' it doesn't work. And running Trump in the ground won't work either. Maybe you've been under a rock- he is soaring in the polls. I bet eve Joe Biden could stay awake during one of his speeches.

And John Doe, we don't need economic advice from someone whose state is bankrupt and looking for handouts. Perhaps you could start at home.

SERIOUSLY. ARE YOU KIDDING US WITH YOUR HUGE LOADS OF CRAP? I don't think so. Just keep checking the polls.

Is Reince Priebus an Ignorer now?

This topic is important because a possible fake President has set in motion Supreme Court appointments, Health Care, and many other questionable acts.

All this can be repealed if Obama is not fit for President.

The Media says this was finished long ago, but when has the media been our judge? There was no due process to claims either way, fit or unfit, so the Media is part of the IGNORERS.

If any of you birther clowns have noticed, Trump has run as a Democrat and as an Independent in the past two election cycles. While yes you have the right to change your political affiliation, don't you think that it's a bit suspect that he wants to do it so often?

Seriously here, if you believe you can be swayed by someone as opportunistic as Trump and are now questioning Obama's natural born citizenship, you seriously need to have your head examined since you lost your brain some time back.

Keep in mind, if Trump ran, he would lose because frankly, most people think he's a smarmy arrogant prick who is an attention whore. I shudder to think what would happen if he got into the White House? Tell the Russian President he's fired? Tell the Chinese Premier that he is a communist clown?

We don't need another idiot in the White House, we had Bush in there for 8 years. Don't you think that's enough for anyone?

Idiots....

that the main reason why this birther nonsense is coming out again is because of the fact that the Republicans have failed to deliver on their promise which is "jobs, jobs and jobs"?

While the economy in my area seems to be heating up a bit, the rest of the country still needs a lot of work before we can possibly say we are out of the proverbial woods.

We are watching politics as usual, but since Obama is not a "Republican" we have individuals who screech about his birth certificate every chance they can.

Hey birthers, if this were truly an issue, Hillary Clinton, John McCain and others have great investigators who could have found out that he wasn't able to run for this office yet did not bring it up. Do you have even the slightest idea why that is the case? It's not out of laziness since they definitely had ambitions for power, it's because of the fact that they know it's a non-starter and it only makes them look like fools.

The only people who seem to be hitching to this wagon are individuals who everyone considers to be jokes hoping and praying that somehow this falsehood will be true and that they'll have a chance to shine. So let's think about it -- the birthers are "right" and Obama gets thrown out. Do you truly think that you'd be able to fill his big shoes? Come on... you'd be so out of your depth that you'd be praying to have him back in power. You couldn't handle the awesome responsibility that is the presidency. It's not all photo ops and travel to meet other world leaders - it's hard work and it's stressful work. For as far as I am concerned, you'd bring us into another recession, but this time it would go deeper than the one Bush left us.

You would single handedly be responsible for destroying our country -- and what does that leave you? Absolutely nothing. But then again, you don't seem to realize that being a leader of nothing still means you have nothing.

Idiots.

Is that a remake of "Shut up and sing"? But Joe of MD, as the head of a major political party, how exactly can Priebus "shut up" and still get anything done?

Ralph of NJ 3:30AM April 15, 2011

The Republican Party is unsure where it is heading. At the moment, the only weapon Republicans have is a big NO: no to Obama, no to health care, no to liberals, no to climate change, no to abortion, no to taxes, no to regulations, no to evolution, no to immigration, no to Social Security, no to Medicare, no to government in general.

Whether or not one agrees with any or all of the above "no" policies, it is clear that running on a platform of "no" will not sustain a political party forever. Ultimately a politician has to be in favor of Something. The public will eventually ask for something positive. The problem for Republicans is that they have denounced everything. How can they sign off on anything? You name it:
