Mike Huckabee Urged to Run in 2012 Presidential Race

As someone posting this from Ireland, Mike Huckabee is by far the best candidate to beat Barack Obama next year. He has extensive and substantial executive experience, an extraordinarily affable and amiable nature that completely disarms his most vociferous opponents, has a real grasp of the issues that matter, and is a proper problem-solver not a rank idealogue, he is a true Christian who believes in the tenet of helping those less fortunate but not giving a hand-out, and he would not treat America's allies as enemies and enemies as allies. If he did get the nomination for President, who would be a suitable vice-presidential pick? My choice would be Condi Rice, if she would accept such a position, and I would hope she would...GO HUCK, God bless you...

I am quite sure that he will under no circumstance ditch his complete campaign team--especially his 2008 campaign chier, Ed Rollins. Rollins has served in the White House four times (twice with Reagan, once with Nixon and Ford) and managed Reagan's 1984 re-election bid in 1984 (which was the biggest landslide in presidential election history). Rollins is an experienced, battle-proven vet who can lead Huckabee to victory in 2012 if he chooses to run. Moreover, McCain's campaign was poorly-run anyway--Huckabee will want no part of that.

The Fair Tax is not a good plan. As good sounding as the title is, what it effectively does is shifts a large portion of the tax burden away from the upper class and moves it firmly to middle class. In other words it will dramatically incease the tax burden for the middle class while decreasing it for the upper class. It may also discourage people from making purchases that they otherwise would, which would be bad for the economy. Because it basically replaces all other taxes with one giant sales tax, imagine how much more expensive products will be. Imagine the sticker shock.

Mike already has a campaign manager. He prays to him every day. And he has a campaign team called the Tea Party. As far as a "killer economic plan" he supports the FairTax. The last thing Mike needs is McCain's team.

What Mike Huckabee has that is so great in someone as well known as he, is that he is beholden to no special interests or wealthy patrons. I would want to know who these "political operatives" and "pros" are that are referenced in this announcement, and what's in it for them.

Huckabee has far fewer resources than other candidates who are the representatives of big money. He once said that he didn't major in math, he majored in miracles. I am still hoping that the miracle will happen, and he will be elected the next President of the United States, without the support of the those who think they own this country, and can buy the Presidency.

I regret that you don't get it when it comes to Christianity. Christianity is a struggle. There are some that become monks and try to set themselves apart from the world to no avail. Some go to church and try to set themselves apart from their neighbors to no avail.

Going to church and proclaiming to be a Christian and then doing something wrong is often seen as hypocrisy - and in a way it is - but in another way it is a reflection of their struggle. Whether you are a monk or a church goer - you are a sinner. Nothing can change that. A Christian should not try to be something that they are not. Christians are sinners who are locked in a struggle to follow Christ.

A Christian is one who has been "called by" and follows Christ. If you follow Christ and remain as you were before, then the Christian life means nothing. Martin Luther described one of the benefits as "pecca fortiter" meaning, sin without terror, recognizing that sin was inevitable, even for the Christian. But, unlike the non-Christian, the Christian is certain of God's mercy and His infinite grace and forgiveness, therefore, without terror.

You don't have to go to church or become a pastor to become a Christian. All you need is to be called by Christ and accept His invitation. Then begins the real struggle.

Politics is so hilarious! The negative pundits always attempt to distort, distract or disqualify the candidate with the most qualifications without digging for the REAL facts.

In the case of Governor Mike Huckabee, we have a likely presidential candidate who has soared in the potential presidential polls for over a year. Grassroots Republicans, Democrats and Independents love this man and want to vote him into office as President of the United States. Governor Mike Huckabee’s multitude of accomplishments are even more phenomenal when you consider that he was one of 3 elected Republicans when he was first elected to office in Arkansas and one of 5 elected Republicans when he left the governorship some 10 years later.

When Governor Huckabee first accepted the office, Arkansas was an economically depressed and deeply indebted state. When Governor Huckabee, left office, the state had a $500 million surplus with which he wanted to write a check to the tax payers of Arkansas. The opposition found a use for the money before that could happen. During his 10 years as governor, Mike raised the educational standards by increasing the state’s requirements for a high school education while the number of minorities graduating from school actually increased. Mike cut taxes some 90 plus times. Mike at the request of 80% of the voters remodeled the roads and interstate systems in Arkansas so commerce could flourish. Mike worked to make the sentence match the crime. Mike hated racism wherever he found it and made equality the standard for all people of all backgrounds. Mike became the most pro-life governor in the history of the state of Arkansas. TIME magazine named Mike Huckabee as one of 5 Best Governors of the Year because they were so impressed with his accomplishments. Governor Mike Huckabee's 10 years in the office of Governor gives him more actual experience at governing than any potential candidate.

Let's not forget that it was a young Mike Huckabee who was the Public Relations pointman for the 1980 GOP Rally in Dallas, Texas. Mike continues to believe in President Ronald Reagan's values of Prolife, Small Government, Strong Military, Low Taxes, Stand with our Allies, Freedom for every individual to accomplish their full creative potential. As Reagan opposed national health care, Governor Mike Huckabee has made it clear that he believes it should be repealed and will work toward that end to give our personal healthcare freedom back to each citizen.

Before you jump to conclusions about Mike, you need to investigate what he believes, and what really happened. Better yet read his latest book, A Simple Government. I believe when you get to know the facts about Mike Huckabee, you will like him because he is a man of integrity, and intellect, who can articulate his values well. Mike Huckabee will make a great President in whom we can all get behind and support. I believe Mike Huckabee is our best choice in our 2012 Elections.
