Either way, I am sure that whoever wins WILL SPEND the money! Why do they NEED a "nature park" EITHER?

Anyone know whether the fairy was allowed to flutter her gigantically expensive wings in the new building, or did this idea get put aside as the waste it really represents?

Notice the last paragraph where it says:

What's more, the official said that the $600,000 is federal money, and that no Alexandria funds will pay for the art.

What difference does it make whose money it is... 600k is 600k. Don't spend it on this right now.

Jules, you give $200,000 to that artist and I'll shoot her on general principle!

In this economy, whoever is doing this kind of shopping with tax payers money should be fired. With the unacceptable deficit raging out of control, we have no use for someone who can't see that every dime needs to be cut and saved or used for a better purpose than this absurd wasteful spending. America is DONE with this type of brainless decision making and TIRED of the hemorrhage. STOP THE FINANCIAL BLEEDING FROM THE TAXPAYER ALREADY!

This actually makes me angry. Are they kidding? $600,000 could by or troops better equipment, pay towards securing our borders or be used to start safer oil drilling practices in America. Could this be why America is in debt? Gee I wonder. I wish there were a few intelligent people in Washington; is that to much to ask as a tax payer.

Wall mosaics? Who cares?
