First lady Michelle Obama has struck pay dirt in her battle against childhood obesity and parallel effort to get families to grow, buy, and eat more veggies. So what does she do for an encore in her next two years in office? [See photos of first lady Michelle Obama]

Our latest Washington Whispers poll has an idea: Get behind the effort to stop kids from texting while driving. And if that's not good with her, then join the campaign to prevent teen pregnancy. Our latest poll conducted by Synovate eNation found that 38 percent want her to join the antitexting bid while 33 percent think the mom of two girls should be more vocal in the war on teen pregnancy.

The poll shows that American concerns about teen texting is clearly on the map and the credit should go to President Obama's Transportation Secretary, Ray LaHood. He has championed that issue and even inspired others, like teen sensation Justin Bieber, to join in the campaign.

I think Michelle Obama could help drivers get the message about the dangers of texting while driving. What I know about her childhood obesity campaign has alot to do with empowering the individual. With Text and Drive, it has to start with the end user, the driver...deciding not to partake in distracted driving.

I also decided to do something about teen (and adult) distracted driving after my three year old daughter was nearly run down right in front of me by a texting driver. Instead of a shackle that locks down phones and alienates the user (especially teens) I built a tool for teens and their parents called OTTER that is a simple, GPS based, texting auto reply app for smartphones. It also silences call ringtones while driving unless you have a bluetooth enabled. I think if we can empower the individual then change will come to our highways now and not just our laws.
