New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s coast-to-coast campaign to send aides to gun shows for sting operations in states like Nevada, Ohio, Virginia, and New York to make easy and allegedly illegal purchases is being called out by the National Rifle Association. New NRA Political Director Chuck Cunningham recently visited New York to cheer on the troops and hit Bloomberg for trying to limit guns. He referenced Bloomberg’s struggle with snow removal in blasting him. “Mayor ‘Blame’ is not after illegal guns, he is after your guns. Now that’s a real snow job.” Cunningham, meanwhile, tells Whispers that several states are planning to lash back at Bloomberg’s stings by enacting laws prohibiting gun dealer entrapment schemes like those the mayor’s agents allegedly use.
