Pollster John Zogby updates our weekly Obama Report Card with a grade on the president’s performance. Zogby uses his polling, expert analysis, and interaction with major players to come up with a grade and some comments that capture how he sees the president’s week ending.

John Zogby on Week: 105

“The president’s approval rating continues to improve, with some polls showing it on the positive side of 50 percent. Civility remains the buzz word in politics after the Tucson shootings and Obama’s memorial event speech, and that seems to work to his favor, especially in comparison to the ongoing defiant tone of Sarah Palin. Obama also continued to reach out to business by announcing ‘a government-wide review’ of federal regulations ‘that stifle job creation and make our economy less competitive.’ Chinese President Hu Jintao’s visit to Washington presents many risks for Obama, as the two talk about monetary and trade policies and human rights.”

This week’s grade: B+

Last week’s: A

I would beg to differ. People that support the gop are the ones that need a heads up. This party wants to deregulate. What does that mean. They want to rip off regular americans . They dont want health care , what does that mean. They want insurance comp deciding if you live or die. They want corporations to be able to donate mass amounts of money to there candidate. Why so they can call all the shots and control you. The republican party is the worst form of leaders in the world. They wont be happy till they have every penny on planet earth in there pockets and everyone else is in poverty. So whos the stupid ones. The followers of the republican party. Why did obama give in to there begging for the tax break. Republicans and corporations are nothing but beggers crooks and thieves. There business are dieing becouse they think they need to steal to be succesfull. Don Manzullo and his repuke friends renewed nafta. A republican bill that kills jobs. rescum tryed to pin that on dems. wrong . google who signed it, alot more repukes. rethug followers blame housing collapes on barney franks.. wrong,... google g. bush chimp speach on putting 5 million low income people in houses. Repukes are the true scum of the earth. period

All these comments are ignorant. Democrats are just morally better people then republicans. Calling us socialist because we care for the common good of the poor. Shame on you. Obama has kicked ASS as president and if you weren't so overly conservative and religious, maybe you will see that most Americans don't think like you. Obviously there is no education backing up your opinions. Being closed minded is what this republican party is good at. What would Jesus do? Hmmm that's easy. He was for the common good for the poor. So he would be on the left... not the side that only cares about the rich getting richer. Roman Empire.. So this is what I say to all you haters out there... SUCK IT!!! Obama is going to go down as one of the greatest presidents this country has ever had. You can cry and bitch about till you die. The FACT remains that we are proud to be democrats. GO OBAMA!!!!
