A Week of Nothing Is Good for Obama

DeeToo. The name reminds me of R2D2. A droid. As in, a driod who follows the programming of the left. And you talk about spin! Have you ever thought beyond the sound-bite value of any of the things you mentioned? About how the START treaty really accomplishes nothing because Russia isn't a significant nuclear threat anyway? About the unintended consequences of the repeal of DADT (are military ministers now forbidden to teach according to their faith, for example)? About how raising taxes on anybody during a recession is bad for the economy, even according to the government's own economists? About the fact that GM had a good year in part because they were able to use accounting tricks like paying off one government loan with another to make their financial numbers look good? That unemployment numbers are down, but employment numbers aren't up a corresponsing amount because so many people have lost hope and quit looking for work? If it's not up to the President to bring jobs back, why did we need the "stumulus" in the first place? What about all those "shovel-ready" projects the "stimulus" was supposed to support in order to help create jobs? Oh yeah, Obama recently admitted that there were no shovel-ready jobs. The don't (and didn't exist).

Keep trying to spin positive. I think most people are humored by your attempts to create puppies and rainbows from the abysmal things this president and his congressional cronies have done.

I'm not picking on Obama at all that he's taking a break. I wish he'd take more of them.

The President finished up the year with a bang and has accomplished more in 2 yrs than the previous president in 8 yrs.

If you measured his success by the absurdity of the wacko response, then Obama must be doing something right - because the wacko right is off the rails on their crazy rants now. Sure all the bigots ginned up on their fox propaganda are goofy-ier than ever, but it means the rest of the country is satisfied things are getting done and Obama is doing a responsible job. When you get the crazy right ann crazy left all worked up, it means the majority of us in the moderate center are being taken into consideration.

Its harder than ever to get anything done in these hyperpartisan times and our economy requires that we make some major fixes. So getting things done is a good thing. Keep it up!

We will crush obama and his socialist muslim loving agenda.

FUBO.

The economy is improving - slowly.

Retail sales were way up during the holidays.

Congress actually got some work done before they went home.

The constitution was properly supported by repeal of DADT(bi-partisan).

The START Treaty was thankfully ratified (bi-partisan).

Unemployment benefits were extended (bi-partisan)

but at the expense of extending tax cuts to the wealthy (like they need it?)

The President filled some posts that need to be manned using a constitutional method used by the past 6 presidents.

GM had a good year.

Durable goods orders are up.

Unemployment claims were down.

Obama had something to do with all of these things. Sometimes the bills or appointments were not what I expected, but that does no mean it was not a constructive year or Congress. This Congress got more done than any other previously. We have resumed proper controls with the Russians regarding nukes.

Unemployment numbers are still high, but it is up to corporations to bring jobs back - not the President. File your complaints with corporate America and the shareholders their management is so eager to please instead of supporting American workers.....

Keep trying to spin negative. I think most people are sick and tired of your constant attempts to make people feel bad, feel fearful, when there is still so much that is good going on. Amazing how you still have to pick and pick even when the guy takes a break..... You must be really fun folks...

Happy New Year!

A week of doing nothing but playing President - that's what Zero is best at. If only we could keep him doing nothing all the time, the country could recover quickly and we'd all be better off.

Not Chicken Little of TN 12:38PM December 31, 2010

Likewise, A week of Obama doing nothing is always good for the country. It is a shame he had to ruin it by making appointments.

Of course, an A for living La Vida Loca in Hawaii, extending his vacation because he was somehow cheated because the Democrats had to push through the rest of their agenda. Yeah right. With a grading scale like that, I have no idea why Obama refuses to release his grades and transcripts. He is used to the do- nothing but show up and get an A report card.
