I know a lot of young white folks who are strong Republicans, but, to be sure, if you want handouts, as many Blacks, Hispanics, etc, want, then vote Democatic. But, I must add, I do know many Blacks and Hispanics who are not into handouts, and will support the GoP.

Somebody should take Proud American Citizen of NM back to his room and give him his medication.

This article is so biased and says nothing at the same time. Polls mean nothing if they are done by a biased study and Mr. Carville is certainly biased. No-Bama has done more to destroy this country in two years than the Taliban and Al-Quada has done since 2001. This idiot in the White House can't even give a speech without a teleprompter and if he goes off track he is lost. He is more interested in playing basketball with his boys than, well just about anything. And he isn't very good at basketball.

Go back to Kenya you moron, America can't handle any more of your change.

I certainly hope not. Nothing that was promised has been delivered.

At the heart of this article is the line, "the best and brightest of the Democratic party see him as a shoo-in for re-election."

So what? And this supposedly is coming from James Carville, a Southern Democrat who excoriated President Obama for his ineptness during the Gulf oil spill.

Not only is this article a Democratic puff piece, not only is it silly given that 2012 is a lifetime away in politics (almost no one had even heard of Obama two years before his election), but it's not remotely relevant. What's relevant are the increasing disasters befalling this country in part because of uncontrollable events and in part because of lack of leadership by this president. If he continues on this course, Obama stands no chance of winning no matter how many puff pieces are floating around out there.

I'm Hispanic and unless immigration reform passes, as Obama promised, I will not vote for him in 2012. If we end up with President Palin or Romney, so be it.

The GOP selection is not anything I can support....

Huckabee - a slick-talking preacher who offers holy war while selling himself as open-minded - a perfect ne-con candidate - but maybe too obvious...

Palin - an ill-informed, literacy-challenged and content-missing revivalist who supports attacks on muslims, and was brought to the fore by the neo-cons

Romney - a very conservative, moderate, liberal Massachussetts governor, moderate fund-raiser, conservative business man, Mormon with one wife who probably still watches Donny & Marie and never discusses being Mormon, is as exciting as an unlit match, but probably ot a neo-con favorite

Pawlenty - a tedious and dull moderate who is desperately trying to become a bible-pounding reactionary to attract Tea Party extremists and big bucks from big oil, and probably could be easily bought from a frozen state that can claim Bachmann as a Rep... For the right price he could become a neo-con...

The neo-cons picked McCain & Palin last time - If the GOP does not offer new cuts in Defense spending the next two years, the deficit and debt will not change, and everyone will know now that the GOP has nothing to offer as solutions... just religion and hate....

No matter how frustrated the middle is with Obama - they won't accept the neo-con party masquerading as the GOP and Tea P.

Carville obviously doesn't give Hispanics or college-educated voters any credit for being independent thinking; he assumes they are "followers", like blacks, who automatically vote Democrat.

Women tend to be conservative, especially if they're old enough to have witnessed the Obama Democrats' "crucifixtion" of Hillary Clinton during the last presidential campaign. And if they work outside the home and manage the household budget, they tend to be conservative as well.
