...isn't Carville one of those Dems who said that the Dems would hold the House? Gee, unless I'm mistaken, Dems have 192 seats and Republicans have 242 seats in the House.

If Carville is predicting that Obama will win that can only mean that we will have a Republican president in 2012. AWESOME!!!!!

Jimmy the Greek of IL 11:44PM November 30, 2010

Isn't Carville the same clown who claimed Democrats would have a majority for 40 years? He isn't exactly what I would call prescient.

Bob of KY 11:01PM November 30, 2010

electorate is younger, less white, unmarried, and UNEMPLOYED. Hey carville, you reckon these young are so dumb that they don't understand who is keeping them from getting a job. You are one out of touch individual. I bet your drop in income attributed to successful clients this past year compared to the past median of your successful clients set a record. Think that is not attributed to Obama. Good thing you can live off your wife these past few years and to come, maybe 40.

Seriously, you're listening to Carville again? Come on guys, hasn't he embarrassed himself enough on the political guessing game? Guys like him squawk to fit whatever narrative they like at the moment, there's no actual analysis or thought put into it - they want their guys to win so they change their tune to spin whatever is going on to make that seem plausible.

The fact is that Obama won because he wasn't clearly defined and after eight years of the media pounding Bush, the public was willing to give the new guy a chance. Now that the President has been more clearly laid out and the public is overwhelmingly not liking what they see - it's the Republican's election to lose. They don't self-destruct, which is in itself a tall order, they stand a good chance of winning. There are a number of unique things going on that'll play havoc with that old rule about incumbants usually winning - the actual record stands in contrast to the promises that have been made.

Obama loses and we'll see the spinning of a lifetime - it'll be grand fun, I look forward to seeing what these sham artists come up with.

Yes Obama will cruise to victory right along with the permanent Democratic Congressional majority predicted by....wait...it was predicted by the very same moron quoted here,James Carville..who is predicting this...never mind

Jillian of NJ 10:08PM November 30, 2010

Obama is not running again.

There will be 12-18 States that will require Longform Documentation to get on the ballot in 2012.

AZ says they will pass the reg before Spring, 2011, and 17 other states are trying to pass it.

Considering there is now 29 Red States in Legs and Govs, I can see 10-12 doing this.

Obama already knows he won't run again, and is now just trying to get his Party back in the game.

Watch and see.

RoBoTech of AL 10:06PM November 30, 2010

...Carville was saying that the Republicans would be out of power for 40 years, and consigned to be a "Regional Party".

Well, he would be correct if "Regional" meant everywhere in between the NY, MA, CT, VT....and....CA.

Carville is not "best" or "brightest". His is an opportunistic publicity hound and a leftist zealot for hire.

He may as well begin his prediction like so. 2...4...6...8...who is going to win again just great?....Obama...Obama...yay...Obama.

Jim of MA 9:44PM November 30, 2010

He raises federal pay for the last two years until it surpasses the private sector and then locks it in witha a pay freeze.

Furlough this idiot in 2012 for his lifetime!

Citizen of WI 4:11PM November 30, 2010
