I don`t understand how the people can expect Pres. Obama to fix the mess

we are in in the short time that he has been in Office. It would take any president Republican or Democrat years to fix. We all must remember that things were in a mess when Obama took office. Why do people punish Obama !!

Sorry, Bill, but you are either terribly ignorant or a liar. Or maybe both?

Are you saying that progressivism has failed every time? I assume so. Is medicare a failure? I am certain you will say it is not. I could go on, but that wouldn't be much use if you ignore the truth when it is staring you in the face.

Honest people can admit when their opponents have good ideas. Ideologues and liars cannot.

Which are you?

The argument that the 2010 election results were the result of a lackadaisical turnout by Democratic voters in midterm elections, and that the wave of young voters will return in 2012 to sweep Obama to power, is a bad misjudgment of the political zeitgeist overtaking the Democratic Party.

Democratic voters chose not to go to the polls in 2010 and, if Obama maintains his current course, they will also be absent in the 2012 general election if he manages to win his party's nomination. However, they will be voting in the Democratic Primaries if a credible candidate emerges to challenge the president.

The Democratic base is tired of being lied to by an Administration that differs very little on core policy issues from the Bush Administration. They are angry at being lied to by a President that has failed to keep the vast majority of his most important campaign promises. Policy matters, and pretty speeches read from a teleprompter won't get the job done this time.

Less white is better how?

How will it be better for the dems?

No country has prevailed as "strong" in the world order whose ethnic composition was severely balkanized. "Diversity", or weakness, in small to low-moderate doses can still work, but not where we are headed. Its a fact of nature.

"The best and brightest of Democrats...?"

Isn't that an oxymoron? I think that belief in a political philosophy that has been proven to fail every single time it has been tried precludes the believers from being either "best" or "bright".

Is this the same carville who wrote the book about 40 years of power....for the Dems?

Elle of NH 6:24AM December 01, 2010

If Hillary gives one of her balls to Obama both will have two - and carville will have none... I presume

Another "glowing" prediction by the same "genius" who not only said (2 years ago) that the Republicans would be "wandering-in-the-wilderness" for the next 40 years , but published a book by the same title (anybody want to guess how deeply Amazon.com is discounting his book ?) ... I guess by federal standards that the fact that he was only "off" by only 38 years with his estimate , is "close-enough-for-government-work" . (sic) ... Frank K . (N.Va)

It's the economy stupid......keep drinking the Kool-Aid and see the tidal wave of consertatives that take back not only the white house, but the senate, and strengthen their hold on house.

Mike of TX 3:02AM December 01, 2010

This guy should just retire after making the Dems in power for 40 years prophecy. This is sadly how dems think that just b/c you are young and not white you will vote for Obama, and that's just not the case. Hispanics voted 45% for W in 2004 and we can replicate that or better w/ the right candidate, and young people who don't have jobs aren't going to be happy w/ Obama's handling of the economy and will probably just stay home as usual.

Carville, you need to give it up
