Debt-Ceiling Hike to Test GOP

After the just-elected Republicans cast their largely symbolic votes next January to overturn Obamacare, they will face a real test of unity on an issue of immediate importance: Raising the debt ceiling or shutting down the government. The new and sharply conservative members aren't keen to raise the ceiling of government borrowing, but the leadership isn't eager to shut Washington down. Whispers hears that a deal is taking shape that would raise the ceiling in return for a cut in some program spending by up to 7 percent. Republican leaders haven't given the idea the green light yet, but a top aide says it's likely to be OK'd.

I my dad always told me "They're all crooks" and no matter if good one's get in to the stew, it still stinks! They work together only to scheme to better themselves, weather image or financially, and it is such a shame no one with enough gumption even to know it would end up with someone assassinating them to correct this mess. If I or someone else wanted to serve their country like in the military, I would think it would be better to serve and return sanity to this corrupt two party sham. I would kill the Electorial College voting system and count popular vote, put term limits in every office, even for buried jobs in federal government operations that the puppets have their strings pulled by. All elected members would have pay grades of the average earnings of the masses, so they would have salaries in the $50,000 to 70,000 range not 150 to 220,000 , and they would not have 30 to 50 aides . The all would use their own cars, no fleets of 150,000 new cars, and then there would be no acceptable lobbying done to public officials. No pork spending bills to thank supporters. I would then get rid of the federal reserve, and have a national flat commodity tax equal in each state, collected by each state, and each state would send the federal government a payment for it's residents support of the federal governments duties, of military, roads, government representation etc.

This would end the need of the IRS . When you purchased anything weather made here or imported the consumer would pay the tax,and the more luxurious and expensive the purchase the higher the tax weather it comes from the US or imported, and those who could not afford taxes would have none if they didn't make purchases.

Non profit organization ,and churches etc would be exempt from collecting a commodity tax which would encourage support of the needy.

All local governments would have use of prison populations to clean up and do public works, working on roads, cleaning graffitti , planting flowers etc in parks, and similar duties with training in those areas for those on welfare programs, instead of those individuals being kept dumbbed down at home with no hope.

Local governments and States would be able to give exemptions of charity on their purchases like credits so if they gave profits to help the disadvantaged, they would get credits like 5-10 to 1 . All federal and state petty laws to control life on it's most minor levels would be reviewed and eliminated, which would make life simplified, and less expensive, with out needing a permit and fee for just about everything.

Less government , less cost, ultimately a smaller carbon footprint.

No taxes on savings, no death taxes, no taxes on transfers of farms going to their kids, no capital gain taxes on investments of individuals, and no property taxes, and no school taxes for property owners.

Now you can see why I can see a bullet coming, but it would be worth it, if I could achieve the changes.
