After Hillary, Condi, Women Dominate at State

Three of the last four secretaries of state—Madeleine Albright, Condoleezza Rice, and Hillary Clinton—have been women. And that trend has attracted thousands of women to the Foreign Service. In fact, women now make up nearly 40 percent of the corps of foreign service officers. And it's growing.
