5 Ways Obama Can Come Back After Democratic Losses

President Obama is already charting his comeback with the help of key Democrats. A handful shared their top six suggestions with Whispers. First, he will have to spin the election losses carefully, but forcefully, and then frame an aggressive agenda for the second part of his first term. Second, he needs to convene a bipartisan summit to address recommendations from the deficit-reduction commission's December 1 report. Third, he should invite Tea Party winners over for burgers and beers and hire some staff who "speak Republican." Fourth, replace Defense Secretary Bob Gates with independent Connecticut Sen. Joe Lieberman or Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. Fifth, be more like Bill Clinton and learn to schmooze the GOP. And if that doesn't work, go back to beating Republicans up if they refuse to find issues to play ball on.
