The nation's three most polarizing politicians—President Obama, Tea Party activist Sarah Palin, and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi—won't be playing starring roles only on Election Day. Two days before, on Halloween, their faces are also likely to be scaring little kids around the country.

That's because all three are in a virtual tie in our latest Washington Whispers poll for being the faces of this year's scariest trick or treat masks. Obama, Palin, and Pelosi are just points apart and are judged far scarier than former President George W. Bush and Fox commentator Glenn Beck.

Like all recent presidential masks, Obama's has already been in the news. Just this month, a North Carolina man was charged with wearing an Obama mask to rob a Winston-Salem Sheetz with a pistol.

In election years, political masks are often popular on Halloween. Which do you think is the scariest political mask to wear this year?

President Obama 26%

Tea Party activist Sarah Palin 25%

Speaker Nancy Pelosi 24%

Former President Bush 13%

Fox commentator Glenn Beck 12%

I would wear it on my but and eat a lot of beans before I went trick-or-treating. I mean, how realistic would that be? Toot! Toot!
