Fox News host Glenn Beck's eyebrow-raising $10,000 donation to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce's campaign to help mostly Republican pro-business candidates sparked a record-breaking flood of small donor support to the Washington institution.

During his October 14 his radio broadcast, Beck said, "I would like to have this [be] the largest day of fundraising for the Chamber of Commerce ever." It was.

By the end of the day, after Beck announced his donation, linked the chamber fundraising campaign, and interviewed Chamber executive vice president for government affairs and top lobbyist Bruce Josten, the chamber raked in over $312,000, a history-making tally for the group. According to chief spokesman Tom Collamore, the Beck-inspired money bomb "was the single largest day of online fund raising that we've ever had." He said that over 7,000 made donations, for a rough average of $44 each, crashing the Chamber's Internet server.

The Chamber tells Washington Whispers that the donations encouraged by Beck came in through their Web site dedicated to helping small businesses, and the Friends of the Chamber Web site.

Beck's donation came after President Obama and dozens of Democratic leaders assailed the chamber for its political activities, charging that it was using funds from foreign corporate members to run ads against Democrats. They are also displeased with the chamber's refusal to reveal donors. The chamber says that it doesn't have to reveal donors and adds that it has complied with all laws barring foreign money from being used for domestic political activities.

The one-day online fund raising record reveals both the political power of Beck and the support for the chamber, which has been opposing the administration on pro-union efforts, healthcare reform, and taxes on small businesses.

Collamore posted a thank-you note to Beck on the chamber's blog that said in part: "We just wanted to say thank you to Mr. Beck and his many loyal listeners who believe in our mission of protecting and advocating for the principles of free enterprise. And for those of you who didn't have a chance to contribute yesterday—or who want to contribute again—just click here. Let's see if we can crash the server again."

Americans need to wake up the fact that Beck is simply another opinion pushing charlatan who is a product of mormon cult theology and he mixes this with his personal make up as a dry alcoholic. Since his personal views are extreme Marxist Libertarian, his form of patriotism is false and he is a person who has no real substance or depth. It will not surprise many of us when Beck’s next big thing is to come out of the closet and announce his homosexuality to the nation. Simply put…he is just another predatory neocon who is pushing the buttons of very ignorant & impressionable people who love being told what to think and believe. Because Beck does not possess a single ounce of journalistic integrity, he is the perfect abortion poster child for Fox Network. On this idiot's radio show and Fox Network program he consistent demonstrates all the unstable behaviors of a dry alcoholic which include grandiosity, judgmentalism, intolerance, impulsivity, ADD and indecisiveness. In addition, this idiot mixes catholosism & mormonism. This makes him blend in perfectly well with those who pervert & distort history & the US constitution like Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, Sarah Palin, Bill O Reilly, Christine O Donnell and the Tea Baggers out there. We live in a period of history where it has become very socially acceptable to be stupid and follow extremist idiots like Glenn Beck, Adolph Hitler, Sarah Palin, Karl Rove, Dick Cheney, Christine O Donnell and Rush Limbaugh. Chicanery and lies are their middle names as these people have no ounce of integrity and are masters at perverting truth, facts and history. Even now…Beck is probably masturbating while watching Fox News video footage of Christine O Donnell & Sarah Palin while brainstorming over his next round of vile spew for his opinion pushing points on the radio or TV.

I like Beck. I dislike mainstream media hypocrites who attempt to manipulate me. Why are all three news weekly biased to the left when twice as many Americans call themselves conservative as call themselves liberal? Isn't there more money to be made being biased to the right? Or does ideology the mantra in a capimatter more than making money? Why did it take an Australian to understand that selling to conservatives make economic sense, and that continuing to dish out liberal claptrap is a recipe for business disaster? Are the people in the magazine industry more interested in liberal causes than staying in business? How about one magazine, one television show, one movie out of the mainstream media that is geared to conservatives? If the formula for success in a capitalist society is "find a need and fill it" why is it that not one mainstream media company offers anything to conservatives? Don't you fools want to make money?
