After Oil Spill, Gulf States Want Obama Vacation

After both the President and Mrs. Obama tried to convince the rest of us Americans to go and spend our vacations along the Gulf Coast, you would think that they would have set an example and gone to the Gulf instead of Maine. If the Obamas and their daughters were seen walking along the beaches helping to clean them up, it might have improved their images. Also by them going to the Gulf, it would have brought more business to the Gulf business owners. I just saw the Obamas sailing in a boat off the coast of Maine. To me that is a slap in the face to the folks in the Gulf. That looked a lot worse than when Tony Hayward was off in his yacht for a weekend. I bet the Obamas are pigging out on greasy burgers, fries and other high cholesterol foods and the President is smoking cigarettes, while they preach to the rest of us what we should be eating. They are nothing but hippocrits and a major disgrace to our country.

What better way to talk with corporate heads and keep it quiet. Just call it a vacation. Think about the financial giants that live in their summer homes in this region and it all makes sense. As we have seen during the last 89 days, their needs come before the people in the gulf.

Obama should scrap his current part time job as tour guide and party host, and leave America alone. Everthing he touches turns to crap.

Frankly, I don't care where he goes on vacation for the next two years, as long as he goes back home in 2012.

The MSM is consistent even if they aren't truthful.

In the bag for Obama.

What a load of baloney.

You're saying the Obamas are supposed to use Sasha and Malia as political pawns and endanger their lives just for publicity's sake? That "well" is putting out benzene, a carcinogen. The wind will be blowing more than "polling numbers" towards anyone unwise enough to be sitting on any of the beaches down there. These comments from the Gulf tourist industry sound like the mayor of Amity, in "Jaws", assuring people that it's safe to go back in the water! I feel sorry for the people down there, but this sort of thing does the public a disservice.

Obama is an elitist who doesn't give a rip about the gulf coast or any other place in this nation. Obama cares about Obama and the perks of his position. His attitude is that of Marie Antoinette, "Let Them Eat Cake".

A previous poster hit the nail on the head- Most people cannot afford one vaction this year and Obama will have taken 3 since the spill. He wastes 1/2 million dollars taking his wife on a date to NYC (which you and I paid for), he golfs every chance he gets (10 times since the spill); and yet he "will not rest until the gulf spill is under control", and he "will focus like a laser" on the economy.

He is an empty suit full of hot air. Stop listening to his words and watch his actions, that will tell you who Obama is.

He has a chance to set an example for the entire nation, to do some good in the gulf and help to save this summer season for the people down there. What does he do- go to Maine and go golfing. The coup de gras, he halts drilling in the gulf; which further hurts the economy and the livelihood of many down there.

I believe he will vacation in the gulf- just as soon as the wind blows the polling numbers in that direction.

"Do as I say, not as I do" seems to be a saying the Obama's take to heart. They don't feel they have to practice what they preach.
