She's already one of the hardest-working newswomen in town and soon Martha Raddatz, the ABC News war and White House correspondent, might have another job: movie consultant. That's because her book about a grim 2004 Iraq battle, The Long Road Home: A Story of War and Family, is being shopped to Hollywood directors.

Raddatz tells us that the movie talk isn't just wishful thinking. She says that famed producer Mike Medavoy, who is at Phoenix Pictures and has overseen production of movies like Shutter Island, Terminator, and Platoon, wants to handle it. "He loves the book," she says. "With the focus on families he sees it as Black Hawk Down meets Army Wives."
