Pollster John Zogby updates our weekly Obama Report Card with a grade on the president's performance. Zogby uses his polling, expert analysis, and interaction with major players to come up with a grade and some comments that capture how he see's the president's week ending.

Pollster John Zogby on Week 67

National pollster John Zogby gives President Obama a grade of B+ for week 67 of his presidency.

"While the president was on his midwestern 'Main Street' tour, the real action was on Wall Street and Capitol Hill, where Obama and the Democrats are closing in on a financial reform bill. Senate Republicans were forced to let the bill proceed to debate by public opinion and qualms within its caucus. How could they not after Goldman Sachs execs were forced into a "perp walk" before a Senate committee and the SEC sued the company? Our poll done last week asked voters which they would support, an anti-Wall Street party or an anti-government party. The result was a statistical tie. We also found Democrats narrowing the lead the GOP has had with independents on our generic ballot question. The Democrats now hold a slim lead overall. Iraq remains a mess, but the Obama team signaled no change in withdrawal plans even though Iraq's national election is still not resolved."

This week's grade: B+

Last week's: B

EVERY PRESIDENT GOT SOME MONEY FROM WALL STREET.

WHAT I LIKE ABOUT OBAMA IS THAT HE GOT MONEY FROM WALL STREET LIKE EVERYONE ELSE DURING HIS CAMPAIGN AND STILL WANTED REGULATIONS ON WALL STREET, THAT IS WHAT HE CAMPAIGNED ABOUT (THEY KNEW IT & THE WORKERS STILL DONATED) NOW HE IS ON THE VERGE OF DOING REAL FINANCIAL REFORM ! HOORAY!

DON'T BE LIKE THE OTHER PRESIDENTS BY TAKING WALL STREET MONEY & NO REGULATIONS. THAT HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR YEARS!

ALSO DON'T RETURN ANY OF YOUR CAMPAIGN MONEY FROM WALL STREET WORKERS OBAMA! KEEP IT & STILL HIT THEM HARD WITH REGULATION!

One grows weary of the libs extolling (B+???) the virtues of this socialist president. He receives more money from the Wall Street community than the Republicans. I have changed party affiliation from Republican to Independent. Both parties treat us as idiots, and really are there for themselves, not the people.

U.S. News is just another cog in the liberal press. B+, guess this this brings new meaning to grading on a curve!
