Pollster John Zogby updates our weekly Obama Report Card with a grade on the president's performance. Zogby uses his polling, expert analysis and interaction with major players to come up with a grade and some comments that capture how he see's the president's week ending.

John Zogby on Week 63:

National pollster John Zogby gives President Obama a grade of A for week 63 of his presidency."The president still somewhat basks in a glow of his healthcare accomplishment, obviously not to his opponents, and not yet to even to a majority of voters. But to a great degree, it is more than likely off the table as the major election issue. Now, the election will be about jobs and war. Obama was busy on the international front with a major arms control agreement with Russia, a PR coup by visiting troops in Afghanistan and straight talk to President Karzai, and pleasing his base and some independents by telling the prime minister of Israel that the U.S. won't get pushed around. Finally, a president who announces plans for offshore drilling is hardly easy to paint into socialist corner. How do Republicans respond to that? Still a good week."

This week's grade: A

Last week's: A+

President Obama was able to do what every president before him wanted to do, but failed. We should be glorifying Obama for having the cojones to do something good for America. If Bush had not left him with two wars we could have done even more for our own citizens. I'll go along with those who support having congress adopt the same healthcare plan that was just passed.

The Teabag Party has shown me that they are as interested in removing Republican incumbents as Democrat incumbents. If all incumbents were voted out we could finally get the term limits we have needed for a long time. Career politicians should be a thing of the past.

Part of the reason for the "A" grade as noted in Mr. Zogby's article refers to what he calls President Obamas's... "major arms control agreement with the Russians". Part of President Obama's new thinking involves the cancellation of a strategy that has kept this country free from nuclear war for decades, that being the threat of using nuclear weapons in self defense. Simply put, you attack us and we will destroy you. President Obama now has decided that the US will not even use nuclear weapons in SELF DEFENSE. The U.S.Constitution, a document that President Obama seems to have little use for, gives the federal government and in particular the President of the US the prime responsibility to defend its people from foreign aggresion. This president is doing everything he can to do just the opposite. Oh yeah, maybe he should have kept the A+ grade from the week before. God help this country!
