I'm very happy to read this. From news accounts you'd think everybdy inching just right of center was threatening our President. Thank you US News.

The article does not say that there are no threats against Obama. It says that the number of threats has declined so that it is in line with other presidents. All modern presidents receive many many threats. The number of actually attempts to harm may be small, but the number of statements is not.

Biden and Polosi are all the insurance BO needs against something happening to him. There isn't a thinking person alive to day that would want either one of those two taking over. Biden would probable be harmless and that is better than what we have, but his problem is he would put us one step away from Polosi and that would be terrible.

When you hear nothing I would think that is the time to worry, because it then comes from where you don't look for it. Perhaps it is what you call a lull in the storm or the eye of the hurricane. People typically don't trip on a mountain but go down on a little stone. Ask Goliath.

I'd guess those threats might have ticked up again in the last few days if what's been happening to Congreemembers is any indication.
