Despite two wars and long tours away from home, the Marine Corps remains the hot service. And not just for new recruits. Commandant James Conway tells Congress that he's met a recruiting goal of 27,000 additional marines two years ahead of schedule, with over 98 percent being high school grads. And after joining, they seem to like it, he says, pointing to his record of 109 percent of the re-enlistment goal for newbies. Finally, 270 Naval Academy grads chose to join the corps, the highest number in history, breaking last year's record.
