GOP Testing a New Contract With America

It has been obvious to me that our elected officials do not care what the voters want. They can use money and influence to get reelected until they die in office or quit when they want. The only way to change this is to vote ALL incumbents out every time for a few terms until they get the message.

They work for us. They call themselves public servants but do not serve the public. I am conservative in my views but government has gotten out of control.

We can't depend on government to solve all our problems. Their job is to keep us free. Defend us from those who would steal that freedom. We the people have to solve our economic problems. Each of us has the responsibility to behave and play fairly. We also are responsible to see that those that don't play fairly are exposed and punished.

Justice is breaking down in this country. We have a legal system but not a justice system. It is the lack of justice that causes revolutions not lack of healthcare or jobs. We have leaders that consider themselves above doing right. We have political leaders that in any other profession would be in prison.

BRAVO!!!!! finally. A functional brain. but i would add that the reason our country is screwed to the handle, and this is something NO ONE here seems to mention is that our world is controlled by people not even IN our government. ROCKEFELLERS ROTHCHILDS, and others. its like PEPSI and COKE. look at the HEGELian dialect. THEN you will know whats wrong with America. republican and democrat leaders and underlings are PAWNS. Did you hear me? PAWNS! and if something doesnt happen we will fall DEEEEPER INTO slavery! AND BELIEVE ME, it will happen a LOT faster under DEMOCRAT RULE.

by the way a cursory glance at the obama administration to now will reveal the bush administration on STEROIDS. EVERYTHING Obama said he WOULDN'T DO hes doing Everything he said he'd DO...still waiting....healthcare an obvious exception. talk about FALLING FOR IT? that's ANYBODY that voted democrat in 2008. and YES I HATED BUSH!!! wake up you democrats! you are sleeping through the biggest government takeover in the history of the world and its BOTH PARTIES with exceptions on BOTH SIDES. I'M so sick of blind people that keep bashing republicans like the democrats DON'T want to take your free life from you. they do. and they WILL if you keep letting them

WOW! have any of you people ever heard of PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY? although not certainly every case, many of americas LESS FORTUNATE are if you would really do your homework, are also OFTEN the same people who are too lazy to go to school, get a job, advance their education, or even use government programs that are, admittedly pretty secretive to help with business, school, and other APPORTIONED handouts, instead of a monthly WELFARE check. I am one of the poorest people i know in my large circle of friends, family and aquaintences, by the way, and i am certainly FURIOUS with republicans lately but surely not because of what im reading in these comments. sounds like you people dont know ANYTHING about democrat history, or the beginnings of this country or what made it great to begin with. try checking out people like CLINTON GORE PELOSI TAFT ADAMS and, lest we forget CARTER, and of COURSE BARACK H. i did nothing for 8 years in the illinois senate Obama. Again I am not a republican butrepublican POLICY sure isn't whats wrong with our country. TRY some REAL research. then cime back and try to spew NONSENSICAL DRIVEL.

What I love the very most about the Republicans is that they keep telling us that we love them, when the mojority of us genuinly despise them. I have never liked a hypocrite. I often refer to them as Hypocans. Hypo meaning two things. One, 'stimulate' or 'boost', and also meaning 'injection'. I think that the Hypocans are trying to stimulate us into beleiving that they are going to boost our country in anyway that THEY like, through the act of lethal injection. (in their language they might call that 'ramming/jamming down the throat' They also do their very utmost to distract us with a lot of media Hype. Still with me? Does it not also seem adorably funny that the one state that still issues lethal injections IS in fact a Hypocan state?

They could save everyone a lot of time and trouble by aptly paraphrasing their "new" and improved contract like so - I solemnly swear to repuke and regurg all of the same ol' dogma we always say we are going to do before we get elected. Since repukins don't seem to remember Anything, or read anything, I am sure they will fall for it. They always do.

Although I originally grew up in a republican family, I promptly changed political parties years ago (to democrat) when I asked a politically active friend to explain the differences between the two primary parties.

He answered: "the majority of democrats genuinely care about the less fortunate and are willing to help those in need, and the majority of republicans don't".

Now that I've had thirty years to think about this, it's proven to be largely true again and again (with a few exceptions).

If you ask a republican who continually complains about big government if he wants his or her Medicare, Social Security, copyright protection for his/her software or publishing business, patent protection on his/her invention, etc., most will inevitably say yes (all functions of "big government" to name just a few). Hence, these people like government when it protects their own selfish interests, but not when it helps those less fortnuate.

We don't need another contract on America!
