Talk about slobbering adulation! This author decided ahead of time what he liked about about Yobama and found the so-called skills to fit it.

Everybody keeps talking about Yobama as a great speaker. What a crock! Take away his teleprompter and he stumbles all over the place. Next to Bush 2, anybody can shine. Clinton was certainly better and I hate both of them.

Thinks can go wrong pretty quickly. Undo a wrong to get it right takes time my friend. Mr Obama is facing the same problem here. U must all understand he came at the time when Bush and co had already sucked all the money out of the US banks. In fact the poor chap is unlucky to be elected at the time when the world and US were caught up in the recession web. He could not enjoy his victory at all and had to immediately start making changes. We need to be optimistic and give somebody at least one full terms. I am sure if his stimulus package had not come in, the umemployment plus other things could have touched 25-30%. It would have been chaos...Just because something so out of control has been contained to some extent people have the opportunity to raise fingers.

Obama is not a magician with a wand, he says the magic word and boom it gets done. The policies take time to trickle into the economy to show the desired effect. Anybody else in his place would have gone nuts.

As usual Washington's grade is pure fantasy. I see no a's or even d's in Obama's performance. When it comes to what he and his cronies have done and what he plans to do I'd rate them all as F minus. He has broken every promise of transparency and instead of a bi-partisan government , he arrogantly proclaims to have a mandate from the people because he won the election. Right now I doubt if he could win an election as a dogcatcher. Come November ne will again be reminded that the people will have the final say but I doubt that even then he will take the blame. All I can say is thank God for the 2012 elections when we can once again exercise our right to vote ans as they say in Brooklyn get rid of the bum.

I very respectfully disagree with this assessment. Obama is indeed even-tempered and certainly possesses some important communication qualities, but his sole real qualification is that of a “Toastmaster”. By that I mean, the most sought-after and valued devices used in public-speaking; confidence, poise, persuasiveness… projecting charisma, Obama has it in spades, and I applaud that. It proves that those qualities ALONE can propel you to great heights, but there is not much real substance beyond that. He is leading a land of people who FLED Gov’t oppression, and yet seeks to expand the Gov’t hand in our lives exponentially and is accelerating our debt beyond which even our Grandchildren will escape. This is REAL money. This is the productivity of American's being stolen from them. Literally. We LEFT Europe, we don’t want to ‘BE Europe’ or anyone else (…and many such places are starting to pay the piper in a huge way as well).

The article was about his qualities, so I won’t veer off topic, but it bears reminding that sometimes a great speaker, and motivator, like Hitler, is not always a good thing (and no, I’m not ‘comparing him to Hitler” as far as the murderous aspect of this heartless dictator, but simply stating the obvious that they shared those traits of charisma and public speaking, riling masses with promises of hope and change, and it is simply, historically proven, not ‘always’ a healthy, wonderful thing). Though I was very supportive of Obama in the beginning, I think he is extremely radical, stated quite openly that he does not believe in American exceptionalism, and while the constitution provided for States to have a bigger footprint in our lives, with VERY limited Federal Gov’t, Obama must be on TV literally every day, with a speech, a quip, a retort, a rally… something imbuing his image in your mind and promoting Federal expansion that has already caused our current fiscal catastrophe. This is overexposure in my opinion, and reminiscent of socialist leaders who needed their image plastered everywhere so as to always be in the face of “their subjects” (which is also very elitist, arrogant and NOT what Americans fought heroically to be).

For “having a clue”, Obama gets a solid “F”. There’s a reason world leaders come to America for their critical medical treatments. Let’s stop the partisan sycophancy, and call our leaders out when they’re just not cutting it. We owe it to ourselves to be non-partisan realistic. Thank God that Americans, even those of us who supported Obama, are waking up to this drastic reshaping of our great country and starting to get active in speaking out. While I am non-religions and very socially Liberal, I applaud the Tea Party movement for this, and I hope the "coffee party" movement is sincere about less taxes and smaller Gov't as well. If Obama has at least incited Americans out of their disastrous complacency, then he will have unwittingly been a great President after all.

People can nitpick the healthcare debates all they want, but the POTUS is clearly a breath of fresh air in terms of leadership.

Indeed.
